Miele Range Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals

Miele has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your range is still under Miele's factory warranty, start with Miele. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Condo kitchens
Recirculating range hoods and induction tops are common in towers. Add the building's contractor hours and elevator rules to your notes.
Something mounted above?
If a microwave or hood hangs over the cooking surface, mention it. It changes the working room, and an over-the-range unit comes off its wall plate for most repairs.
Mostly electric kitchens
Electric and induction cooking outnumber gas around Tampa, though gas ranges exist. Tell us which you have and read us the tag behind the drawer.
Bungalows & older houses
In a pre-war bungalow or an early ranch, a modern appliance may be wired into a much older house. We look at the outlet, supply line and vent along with the unit.
Straight answers
If an older unit isn't worth the money to fix, we say so plainly and show you which part gave out.
Homes closed for months
Back after a season away? Run water through the lines and give the fridge a day before judging it, and tell us how long the house sat closed.

How a Range Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

Tell us what fails to heat or light, and send the model number; codes and odd smells are worth mentioning.

02

Diagnosis at Home

We test elements or igniters, the temperature sensor and the controls, and check the supply at the outlet or gas valve.

03

Quote Before Work

You hear the diagnosis and the price, and decide. If the repair isn't worth it, we'll tell you.

04

Repair and Test

After the repair we test a full cycle and check for leaks, noise or codes before we leave.

Miele range design and construction

Miele ranges come in dual-fuel, all-gas and induction versions, from 30 inches up to 48 with a griddle on some wider models. On dual-fuel models, gas burners sit over an electric convection oven, so oven faults trace to elements, the convection fan, the sensor or the door lock. All-gas models bake with a burner lit by a hot-surface igniter; when that igniter ages it still glows but can no longer pull the current the gas valve needs, so the oven never lights. Induction models swap the burners for electronics and the fans that cool them. Every version is heavy and sits snug between counters; if we have to get behind one, two of us slide it out over floor protection and the anti-tip bracket goes back on afterward.

Common Miele range failures

  • All-gas oven igniter weak
  • Dual-fuel bake element open
  • Convection fan failing
  • Door lock stuck after clean
  • Griddle burner not lighting

Problems that aren't peculiar to Miele are explained on the range repair page. Our Tampa Bay service areas page shows where Miele visits are booked.

FAQ

Miele Range Repair FAQ

Short answers to what people usually ask before a visit. Anything not covered can go in the notes when you book.

Didn't see your question?

Tell us the brand, model number and the symptom. A few things can be ruled out from a description; most faults need testing on site.

On a dual-fuel range the oven is electric and independent of the gas burners. We confirm 240 volts at the range, then test the elements, the convection fan, the cavity sensor and the door lock before looking at the control.

Not usually. Burners, igniters, oven elements and sensors are reached from the front or top. Gas connections and power wiring at the back require pulling it out, and we protect the floor and refit the anti-tip bracket.
