DCS Range Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals

DCS has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your range is still under DCS's factory warranty, start with DCS. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Condo kitchens
Recirculating range hoods and induction tops are common in towers. Add the building's contractor hours and elevator rules to your notes.
Something mounted above?
If a microwave or hood hangs over the cooking surface, mention it. It changes the working room, and an over-the-range unit comes off its wall plate for most repairs.
Mostly electric kitchens
Electric and induction cooking outnumber gas around Tampa, though gas ranges exist. Tell us which you have and read us the tag behind the drawer.
Condos & gated communities
High-rises Downtown or on Bayshore, HOA gates in Westchase or New Tampa: put the gate code, elevator rules or guest parking spot in your notes.
Tenants & owners
A renter can set up the visit. We report the diagnosis and the quote to whoever owns the appliance, and they sign off before the repair.
Bungalows & older houses
In a pre-war bungalow or an early ranch, a modern appliance may be wired into a much older house. We look at the outlet, supply line and vent along with the unit.

How a Range Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

The model tag (often behind the drawer or on the frame) and what it does or doesn't do when you turn it on.

02

Find the Fault

We test elements or igniters, the temperature sensor and the controls, and check the supply at the outlet or gas valve.

03

Your Go-Ahead

We explain what failed and quote the repair. Nothing is done until you agree to the price.

04

Fixed and Verified

After the repair we test a full cycle and check for leaks, noise or codes before we leave.

DCS range design and construction

Widths ran up to 48 inches, and the big DCS ranges can pack two ovens plus a grill or griddle, built either all-gas or dual-fuel. Which build you own changes the whole oven diagnosis. In a dual-fuel model, the top is spark-lit gas but the ovens are electric, with elements, a convection fan and an electronic control, so a cold oven is an electrical fault. All-gas models give every oven its own igniter and safety valve, which puts ignition first on the list. Those large burners are also thirsty; if flames shrink when several run together, an undersized supply line or a struggling regulator may be the cause rather than the range itself.

Common DCS range failures

  • Oven ignition or element failed
  • Reignition ticking constantly
  • Flames sag with all burners on
  • Convection motor fault
  • Oven control or sensor dead

Not seeing your DCS symptom here? The range faults and likely causes page covers every make. Visits run from St. Petersburg and Tampa up to Wesley Chapel and Spring Hill: check the service area list for your ZIP.

FAQ

DCS Range Repair FAQ

Short answers to what people usually ask before a visit. Anything not covered can go in the notes when you book.

Didn't see your question?

Describe what's happening and include the model plate if you can. We'll say what we can from that, and the rest gets checked at your home.

The model number on the rating label answers it. A peek inside helps too: an electric oven shows elements at the top and often a rear fan, while an all-gas oven lights from a burner under the floor. Include the model number when you book so we arrive prepared.

Maybe not. High-output burners burn a lot of gas, and a line or regulator that is too small only shows its limits when several burners are lit together. We check the burners and orifices first and then the supply. If the supply is short, a gas plumber or your gas utility will need to correct it, and we'll explain what we measured.
