GE Appliances Range Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
GE Appliances has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your range is still under GE Appliances's factory warranty, start with GE Appliances. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

GE Appliances range design and construction
A GE range is a stove with a brain: touch controls, Wi-Fi, convection and on many newer models air fry, and Café offers dual-fuel and pro-style versions with heavier grates and bigger burners. The familiar F3, F4 and F7 codes carry over from GE's wall ovens, and they narrow the search to the sensor or the keypad. Beyond those, we replace main control boards, keypads and convection fan motors, and on gas models the oven igniter more than anything else. Induction ranges bring their own boards and coils. When a board fails the same afternoon as a lightning storm, we look at the outlet and supply wiring as well, so the new board isn't next. The anti-tip bracket gets reconnected every time a range goes back against the wall.
Common GE Appliances range failures
- Keypad stuck or failed (F7)
- Main control board relay failed
- Oven igniter weak
- Convection fan motor failed
- Oven sensor open (F3)

GE Appliances Range Repair FAQ
A few plain answers before you book. Details about your home or the appliance can go in the form's notes field.
Didn't see your question?
Send us the make, the model tag and what the appliance is doing. Some problems can be narrowed down before anyone drives over; most need hands on the machine.
The convection fan or its element may have failed, or the control isn't powering them. We test each one and tell you which part is at fault.
Many of them, yes. F3, F4 and F7 mean the same thing across many GE cooking products. The code points to a circuit, and we confirm the part by testing.
