AGA Range Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
AGA has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your range is still under AGA's factory warranty, start with AGA. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.
How a Range Repair Visit Works
Describe the Problem
Which burner, element or oven function fails, any code on the display, and whether it's gas, electric or induction.
Diagnosis at Home
The technician checks heat sources, sensors and switches, and confirms the power or gas reaching the unit.
Quote Before Work
You hear the diagnosis and the price, and decide. If the repair isn't worth it, we'll tell you.
Repair and Test
After the repair we test a full cycle and check for leaks, noise or codes before we leave.
AGA range design and construction
An AGA range cooker is a wide European-style range with two or three cavities, typically a fan oven, a conventional oven and a separate grill, under a gas, dual-fuel or induction hob. The fan oven heats through a round element mounted behind the back panel with a motor-driven fan in front of it; lose either and the oven heats slowly or bakes lopsided. Gas hobs light by spark and carry a thermocouple at each burner that closes the gas if the flame goes out. Induction versions add power electronics and cooling fans. The cabinet is heavy, so pulling it out means protecting the floor and taking care at the gas or power hookup.
Common AGA range failures
- Fan oven element burned out
- Fan motor noisy
- Spark ignition clicking without stopping
- Oven thermostat running hot
- Door glass or hinge damaged

Didn't see your question?
Tell us the brand, model number and the symptom. A few things can be ruled out from a description; most faults need testing on site.
Each burner has a thermocouple that has to warm up before it holds the gas valve open. Dirt, a bent tip or a failing thermocouple lets the flame drop. We clean it, position it correctly and test it.
Usually the fan element has failed or the fan motor has slowed. We measure the element, watch the fan run, and check the cavity temperature against the setting.
