Kenmore Range Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals

Kenmore has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your range is still under Kenmore's factory warranty, start with Kenmore. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Lightning and surges
A nearby strike can take out a control board while the elements are fine. If the failure followed a storm, say so in your booking.
Hard-to-light burners
Boil-overs and humid air keep igniters damp and clicking. Dry the burner caps fully before booking; if it still won't light, we'll test the switch and igniter.
Self-clean trouble
A self-clean cycle can blow a thermal fuse or lock the door. If the oven died right after one, say so; it narrows the fault.
Tenants & owners
A renter can set up the visit. We report the diagnosis and the quote to whoever owns the appliance, and they sign off before the repair.
Bungalows & older houses
In a pre-war bungalow or an early ranch, a modern appliance may be wired into a much older house. We look at the outlet, supply line and vent along with the unit.
Straight answers
If an older unit isn't worth the money to fix, we say so plainly and show you which part gave out.

How a Range Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

Which burner, element or oven function fails, any code on the display, and whether it's gas, electric or induction.

02

Diagnosis at Home

The technician checks heat sources, sensors and switches, and confirms the power or gas reaching the unit.

03

Quote Before Work

You hear the diagnosis and the price, and decide. If the repair isn't worth it, we'll tell you.

04

Repair and Test

With the part fitted, we run the appliance through a cycle while you're there to confirm the fix.

Inside a Kenmore range

Recent Kenmore ranges include slide-in and front-control models with convection, touch controls and, on some, an air-fry setting. Every one of those features brings parts with it: a convection fan and its element, an electronic control, a touchpad and relays soldered to the board. Expect a convection motor that grinds or stalls, keys that stop registering, a sensor that wanders and relays that fail. Electronics take the brunt of lightning-related surges, so a range that went dark after a storm gets its board and power supply checked. Gas versions still lose oven igniters more than anything. Because more than one factory built Kenmore ranges, the prefix tells us which parts apply before anything is ordered.

Common Kenmore range failures

  • Convection fan motor stalled
  • Touchpad not responding
  • Oven sensor drifting
  • Control board relay failed
  • Gas oven igniter weak

Kenmore Range Repair FAQ

The questions we hear most often about this kind of repair. If yours isn't here, add it to your booking notes.

Didn't see your question?

Describe what's happening and include the model plate if you can. We'll say what we can from that, and the rest gets checked at your home.

Usually. The motor bearings wear or a fan blade works loose on its shaft. We inspect both and replace whichever is at fault.

Either one can be at fault. The touchpad and its ribbon cable are tested before the board, so you pay only for the part that actually failed.
