Fisher & Paykel Range Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals

Fisher & Paykel has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your range is still under Fisher & Paykel's factory warranty, start with Fisher & Paykel. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Self-clean trouble
A self-clean cycle can blow a thermal fuse or lock the door. If the oven died right after one, say so; it narrows the fault.
Lightning and surges
A nearby strike can take out a control board while the elements are fine. If the failure followed a storm, say so in your booking.
Hard-to-light burners
Boil-overs and humid air keep igniters damp and clicking. Dry the burner caps fully before booking; if it still won't light, we'll test the switch and igniter.
Tenants & owners
A renter can set up the visit. We report the diagnosis and the quote to whoever owns the appliance, and they sign off before the repair.
Bungalows & older houses
In a pre-war bungalow or an early ranch, a modern appliance may be wired into a much older house. We look at the outlet, supply line and vent along with the unit.
Straight answers
If an older unit isn't worth the money to fix, we say so plainly and show you which part gave out.

How a Range Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

The model tag (often behind the drawer or on the frame) and what it does or doesn't do when you turn it on.

02

Diagnosis at Home

The technician checks heat sources, sensors and switches, and confirms the power or gas reaching the unit.

03

Quote Before Work

We show you the failed part and give a price for the fix; the work waits for your yes.

04

Repair and Test

We install the part matched to your model, then run it to make sure the problem is gone.

Fisher & Paykel range design and construction

The larger Fisher & Paykel ranges are pro-style machines that came out of the DCS acquisition, with stainless bodies, heavy grates, dual-flame burners and big convection ovens, offered in all-gas, dual-fuel and induction and up to 48 inches wide. Much of the service on these is ignition. Spark modules, electrodes and the switches behind each knob produce the endless clicking or the burner that won't catch. On a dual-fuel model the oven depends on electric elements and a convection motor managed by a sensor and control; an all-gas oven depends on igniters and safety valves instead. Induction versions carry power boards, each with its own fan. If the oven turns itself off midway through a bake, suspect the fan cooling the controls before anything costly.

Common Fisher & Paykel range failures

  • Reignition clicking without stopping
  • Oven igniter too weak to open valve
  • Convection motor failed
  • Oven control or sensor fault
  • Cooling fan dead, oven shutting down

Problems that aren't peculiar to Fisher & Paykel are explained on the range repair page. Our Tampa Bay service areas page shows where Fisher & Paykel visits are booked.

FAQ

Fisher & Paykel Range Repair FAQ

The questions we hear most often about this kind of repair. If yours isn't here, add it to your booking notes.

Didn't see your question?

Tell us the brand, model number and the symptom. A few things can be ruled out from a description; most faults need testing on site.

Some were developed from DCS designs once Fisher & Paykel owned that company, but you can't assume parts swap between the two. We order by your range's own model and serial number.

A control running too hot because its fan stopped is the classic cause, followed by a failing oven sensor and a door that no longer seals. We read the logged faults and test the fan and sensor before suspecting the board.
