Accessibility Statement

Our goal

Booking an appliance repair should work for everyone, including people who navigate by keyboard or switch, listen with a screen reader, speak commands, magnify the screen or browse on an older phone. The standard TrueFix Tampa is aiming for is Level AA of the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.1.

That is a target, not a claim. No outside reviewer has tested the site against the guidelines, and we hold no accessibility certification.

Features in place

• a single top-level heading on each page and subheadings that follow a logical outline;
• labels tied to every field on the repair request and text sign-up forms;
• keyboard access to navigation, links, buttons and form controls, with a visible focus outline;
• text and background colors chosen for contrast;
• alternative text on images that convey information;
• responsive layouts that hold together on small screens and at 200% browser zoom.

Known gaps

We expect there are problems we haven't caught yet. One we know about: the interactive maps on the service-area pages come from outside providers, and screen readers and keyboard users may find them awkward. Each of those pages also lists the same ZIP codes as plain links, so nothing on the map is available only on the map. Pages get a fresh check whenever we change them, and reported problems go to the top of the list.

Tell us about a problem

If part of the site blocks you, send us the page address and a short description of what happened, plus the browser or assistive tool involved, if you can tell. Someone will investigate and get back to you. Until it is fixed, reach us through any option below that suits you and we will take your repair request that way.
