Amana Range Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals

Amana has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your range is still under Amana's factory warranty, start with Amana. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Mostly electric kitchens
Electric and induction cooking outnumber gas around Tampa, though gas ranges exist. Tell us which you have and read us the tag behind the drawer.
Condo kitchens
Recirculating range hoods and induction tops are common in towers. Add the building's contractor hours and elevator rules to your notes.
Something mounted above?
If a microwave or hood hangs over the cooking surface, mention it. It changes the working room, and an over-the-range unit comes off its wall plate for most repairs.
Bungalows & older houses
In a pre-war bungalow or an early ranch, a modern appliance may be wired into a much older house. We look at the outlet, supply line and vent along with the unit.
Straight answers
If an older unit isn't worth the money to fix, we say so plainly and show you which part gave out.
Homes closed for months
Back after a season away? Run water through the lines and give the fridge a day before judging it, and tell us how long the house sat closed.

How a Range Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

Tell us what fails to heat or light, and send the model number; codes and odd smells are worth mentioning.

02

Diagnosis at Home

We test elements or igniters, the temperature sensor and the controls, and check the supply at the outlet or gas valve.

03

Quote Before Work

We explain what failed and quote the repair. Nothing is done until you agree to the price.

04

Repair and Test

After the repair we test a full cycle and check for leaks, noise or codes before we leave.

Inside an Amana range

Newer Amana ranges put an electronic control in charge of the oven. That board switches the elements or gas valve through relays, watches a temperature sensor, and on self-clean models drives a motorized door lock. Each piece fails in a recognizable way: the sensor reports the wrong temperature, the touchpad ignores a key, a relay welds itself shut or refuses to close, and the lock will not let go after a clean cycle. A blank display after a lightning storm can mean a damaged board, although we rule out a tripped breaker first. Gas versions still wear out glow-bar igniters. Whirlpool shares sensors, igniters and elements across its brands, so those parts are easy to find. If the main board dies on an older range, that is when a new range deserves a look alongside the repair price.

Common Amana range failures

  • Oven sensor drifting
  • Touchpad not responding
  • Control relay sticking
  • Door lock stuck
  • Oven igniter weak

Problems that aren't peculiar to Amana are explained on the range repair page. Visits run from St. Petersburg and Tampa up to Wesley Chapel and Spring Hill: check the service area list for your ZIP.

FAQ

Amana Range Repair FAQ

A few plain answers before you book. Details about your home or the appliance can go in the form's notes field.

Didn't see your question?

Tell us the brand, model number and the symptom. A few things can be ruled out from a description; most faults need testing on site.

Most electronic Amana ranges let you set a temperature offset through the control panel, as the owner's manual describes. If the sensor or control is actually failing, an adjustment will not hold, and the part is replaced.

Give it time to cool completely; the lock stays engaged until the cavity temperature drops. A door that still refuses to open points to the lock assembly or the board driving it, and both are tested before either is ordered.
