Bosch Range Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals

Bosch has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your range is still under Bosch's factory warranty, start with Bosch. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Hard-to-light burners
Boil-overs and humid air keep igniters damp and clicking. Dry the burner caps fully before booking; if it still won't light, we'll test the switch and igniter.
Self-clean trouble
A self-clean cycle can blow a thermal fuse or lock the door. If the oven died right after one, say so; it narrows the fault.
Lightning and surges
A nearby strike can take out a control board while the elements are fine. If the failure followed a storm, say so in your booking.
Straight answers
If an older unit isn't worth the money to fix, we say so plainly and show you which part gave out.
Homes closed for months
Back after a season away? Run water through the lines and give the fridge a day before judging it, and tell us how long the house sat closed.
Storm season
An appliance that sat in floodwater stays unplugged until it's inspected. Generators belong outside, well away from doors and windows.

How a Range Repair Visit Works

01

Tell Us the Symptom

Which burner, element or oven function fails, any code on the display, and whether it's gas, electric or induction.

02

In-Home Testing

The technician checks heat sources, sensors and switches, and confirms the power or gas reaching the unit.

03

A Price You Approve

You hear the diagnosis and the price, and decide. If the repair isn't worth it, we'll tell you.

04

Fix and Check

With the part fitted, we run the appliance through a cycle while you're there to confirm the fix.

Bosch range design and construction

Bosch sells its slide-ins as gas, electric, induction and dual-fuel, and whatever the fuel, the keypad and its board ride just above a hot oven. On induction versions, each coil is driven by fan-cooled electronics, so a zone that quits usually traces to a module or a connector, not to the glass. Convection adds a fan and element at the back. A dual-fuel model is fed twice: gas for the cooktop and a 240-volt circuit for the electric oven. When the oven runs hot or cool, the probe is the usual culprit, and after self-clean the latch motor sometimes stays locked. Electronics on these ranges don't like voltage spikes, and after a thunderstorm a range that is dark or throwing codes gets its supply checked before parts are ordered.

Common Bosch range failures

  • Induction zone or power board failed
  • Touch panel not responding
  • Convection fan motor seized
  • Oven sensor reading incorrectly
  • Door lock stuck after self-clean

Problems that aren't peculiar to Bosch are explained on the range repair page. Not sure we reach your street? The Tampa-area service map lists every ZIP code.

FAQ

Bosch Range Repair FAQ

The questions we hear most often about this kind of repair. If yours isn't here, add it to your booking notes.

Didn't see your question?

Describe what's happening and include the model plate if you can. We'll say what we can from that, and the rest gets checked at your home.

The range tests its own coils and electronics, and an error that keeps returning on a single zone usually means that zone's module or wiring. We measure before ordering, so you aren't paying for guesses.

No. A dual-fuel Bosch bakes with electric elements. When baking comes out patchy, we look at the convection fan, its element and the oven probe.
