SMS Terms & Conditions

Effective: October 9, 2026

The program

TrueFix Tampa (TrueFix Tampa) runs a text-message service for repair customers who choose to join it. Every message relates to a repair you have booked or asked us about. This is a service channel, not a marketing list: no sales promotions or advertising are sent through it.

How you opt in

Joining takes a deliberate step. On our text sign-up page, or on the repair request form, you tick a consent box that we never pre-tick and then submit the form. You should only do this for a mobile number you own or regularly use. Ticking the box and submitting counts as your electronic signature on a written agreement to get these texts at that number.

Opting in is not required to buy a repair, and you are not required to sign this agreement. Without it we will still schedule, perform and invoice the job, and reach you by phone or email instead.

What we text

  • a booking confirmation and a reminder ahead of the visit;
  • a heads-up when the technician sets off, or if the arrival window shifts;
  • news about an ordered part and the return visit to fit it;
  • a link to your invoice or receipt;
  • answers to questions you send us by text.

Frequency and charges

Message frequency varies. Expect only a handful for a repair finished in one visit, and more for a job held up by a part on back order. Msg & data rates may apply, depending on your carrier and plan. We never bill you for texts; any charge comes from your carrier.

Stopping the texts

To opt out, send STOP as a reply to any of our texts. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT work too, and so does telling us any other reasonable way, such as on a call or by email. One last text will confirm you are unsubscribed, and nothing further will follow. To rejoin later, use the sign-up page again.

Getting help

Send HELP as a reply and an automatic message with our contact information comes back. You can also use the contact options at the bottom of this page.

Delivery, carriers and your number

  • Wireless carriers are not liable for messages that are delayed or never delivered.
  • Delivery needs a working signal. After a storm, during a power or network outage, or in a spot with weak coverage, a text may arrive late or not at all.
  • Giving up a mobile number? Text STOP from it first, or let us know, so whoever inherits the number doesn't get your repair updates.
  • No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes; text opt-in data and consent are never sold or shared. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information in general.

Other terms and updates

These SMS terms sit alongside our Terms of Service. Any change to them will be posted here with a new effective date.
