Your Privacy Rights

Nearly everything TrueFix Tampa holds about a person came from that person while arranging a repair: a name, a phone number and email, the address where the appliance is, and a description of the fault. You have a say in what happens to it.
Florida's main consumer privacy statute, the Florida Digital Bill of Rights, covers only businesses with more than $1 billion in annual revenue that also fit certain technology-company profiles. We are nowhere near that, so the law most likely does not give you these rights against us. We offer them anyway, to every customer and anyone else who has been in touch, no matter where they live.
What you can ask for
- Access. Whether we hold information about you, what it consists of and where it came from.
- Correction. Fixing what's out of date or inaccurate: a disconnected phone number, a typo in your name, a previous address.
- A copy. An electronic file of what you gave us, in a format any computer can open.
- Deletion. Erasing your information. Tax and bookkeeping rules can oblige us to hold on to invoices and payment records, and our reply will list anything we have to retain.
- No further contact. Removal from our email and text contact. Replying STOP to a text ends the texts by itself.
Asking won't affect the service you get or the price you pay. And some things need no request at all: we don't sell personal information, don't use it to target ads and don't run automated decision-making or profiling on it.
Making a request
Contact us using an option below and say which request you are making. To protect you, we confirm the request is genuine before releasing or changing anything, usually by checking it against the phone number or email already in our records. An authorized agent may act on your behalf with your signed permission.
Our aim is to respond within 45 days. If it will take longer, we will tell you within that time and explain the delay. There is no charge.

If you disagree with our answer
When we can't do everything you asked, we will tell you why. Reply to that message and we will review the decision again and give you our final answer in writing. You can also raise a consumer complaint with the Florida Attorney General's Office through its website.
