Blomberg Range Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals

Blomberg has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your range is still under Blomberg's factory warranty, start with Blomberg. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Mostly electric kitchens
Electric and induction cooking outnumber gas around Tampa, though gas ranges exist. Tell us which you have and read us the tag behind the drawer.
Condo kitchens
Recirculating range hoods and induction tops are common in towers. Add the building's contractor hours and elevator rules to your notes.
Something mounted above?
If a microwave or hood hangs over the cooking surface, mention it. It changes the working room, and an over-the-range unit comes off its wall plate for most repairs.
Bungalows & older houses
In a pre-war bungalow or an early ranch, a modern appliance may be wired into a much older house. We look at the outlet, supply line and vent along with the unit.
Straight answers
If an older unit isn't worth the money to fix, we say so plainly and show you which part gave out.
Homes closed for months
Back after a season away? Run water through the lines and give the fridge a day before judging it, and tell us how long the house sat closed.

How a Range Repair Visit Works

01

Tell Us the Symptom

Tell us what fails to heat or light, and send the model number; codes and odd smells are worth mentioning.

02

In-Home Testing

We test elements or igniters, the temperature sensor and the controls, and check the supply at the outlet or gas valve.

03

A Price You Approve

You hear the diagnosis and the price, and decide. If the repair isn't worth it, we'll tell you.

04

Fix and Check

After the repair we test a full cycle and check for leaks, noise or codes before we leave.

Blomberg range design and construction

Blomberg sells 24- and 30-inch ranges with gas, electric or induction cooking, and convection on most. Gas ovens use electronic ignition plus a flame-proving circuit; if the oven refuses to light, the usual finding is an igniter that has lost strength or a gas valve that no longer gets the signal to open. With electric and induction versions, the trouble shows up instead in elements, relay contacts and the power electronics. All of them use an electronic control reading a probe in the cavity. People choose the 24-inch size for cramped condo and townhome kitchens, and that narrow footprint is hard to replace like-for-like, since the gas stub and the cabinet gap rarely match a different model. Repair usually comes out ahead.

Common Blomberg range failures

  • Igniter too weak for the valve
  • Convection motor dead
  • Induction board failed
  • Cavity sensor off
  • Lower element split

Problems that aren't peculiar to Blomberg are explained on the range repair page. Visits run from St. Petersburg and Tampa up to Wesley Chapel and Spring Hill: check the service area list for your ZIP.

FAQ

Blomberg Range Repair FAQ

Short answers to what people usually ask before a visit. Anything not covered can go in the notes when you book.

Didn't see your question?

Describe what's happening and include the model plate if you can. We'll say what we can from that, and the rest gets checked at your home.

Two possibilities: the igniter has weakened to where the gas valve won't open, or the spark system can't prove a flame. We measure igniter current or check the spark and flame sensing, then replace whichever fails.

Most of the time, if the oven body is solid. Very few ranges are made that narrow, and a new one might not suit your existing hookup. We price the repair so you have a real number to set against a replacement.
