Perlick Refrigerator Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals

Perlick has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your refrigerator is still under Perlick's factory warranty, start with Perlick. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Storm prep
Before a storm, turn the freezer to its coldest setting and keep the doors shut. A full freezer holds about two days without power.
Sweating doors
Muggy air shows up as beads on the door edge and wet gaskets. A tired seal, or an energy-saver setting that switches off the door heaters, is often behind it.
Hard-water ice
Scale narrows the fill valve and clouds the ice over time. Note when the water filter was last changed; it changes what we check first.
Straight answers
If an older unit isn't worth the money to fix, we say so plainly and show you which part gave out.
Homes closed for months
Back after a season away? Run water through the lines and give the fridge a day before judging it, and tell us how long the house sat closed.
Storm season
An appliance that sat in floodwater stays unplugged until it's inspected. Generators belong outside, well away from doors and windows.

How a Refrigerator Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

Tell us which section is warm, whether you hear the fan or compressor, and what the model tag says.

02

Diagnosis at Home

At your home the technician checks airflow, the condenser, the defrost circuit and the controls in turn.

03

Quote Before Work

You hear the diagnosis and the price, and decide. If the repair isn't worth it, we'll tell you.

04

Repair and Test

After the repair we test a full cycle and check for leaks, noise or codes before we leave.

Perlick refrigerator design and construction

Perlick's undercounter refrigerators and drawers move all their condenser air through the kickplate grille, since a built-in has nowhere to vent at the back. That puts the condenser fan and a clean coil at the center of almost every warm-cabinet call. Once airflow checks out, we test the evaporator fan, the temperature sensor and the control. Drawer models have wear points of their own: slides that bind when loaded with cans and bottles, and gaskets that lose their shape after years of being shoved shut. A panel-ready door is heavy, and a hinge that sags even a little can leave a gap that frosts the evaporator. In a humid kitchen, that same gap lets in enough moisture to bead water on the shelves.

Common Perlick refrigerator failures

  • Kickplate grille clogged, cabinet warm
  • Condenser fan motor stopped
  • Drawer slides binding under load
  • Panel door sagging on its hinge
  • Gasket leak frosting the evaporator

FAQ

Perlick Refrigerator Repair FAQ

The questions we hear most often about this kind of repair. If yours isn't here, add it to your booking notes.

Didn't see your question?

Send us the make, the model tag and what the appliance is doing. Some problems can be narrowed down before anyone drives over; most need hands on the machine.

Usually not. A bent slide, something wedged behind the drawer, or a gasket that has gone flat and lost its spring are the common causes. We find which one it is and replace the worn part.

Moist air is getting in, typically past a gasket or a door that isn't closing fully. A defrost or sensor fault is possible, but the seal and door come first.
