Samsung Refrigerator Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Samsung has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your refrigerator is still under Samsung's factory warranty, start with Samsung. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Samsung refrigerator design and construction
Frost is behind most Samsung refrigerator trouble. French-door models make ice in a small insulated box on the left door, and that box is chilled by freezer air piped up through a duct. Any gap in that path, whether a tired gasket on the ice box, a door seal or the duct joint, lets humid kitchen air inside, and the frost it leaves behind eventually locks up the ice maker and sends water dripping out the door. Twin Cooling Plus models also have their own fresh-food evaporator and fan, and once ice grows around those blades you hear an intermittent buzz or clatter. Often the root is a defrost circuit that isn't doing its job: a heater, a sensor or a drain. Chipping the ice out only resets the clock. The lasting repair fixes the defrost problem and closes the leak path, which matters in a humid house where the doors open often.
Common Samsung refrigerator failures
- Ice room frosted, ice maker jammed
- Fresh-food fan blades hitting ice
- Defrost heater or sensor not clearing the coil
- Water inlet valve leaking or stuck shut
- Water collecting under the crisper drawers

Describe what's happening and include the model plate if you can. We'll say what we can from that, and the rest gets checked at your home.
Because thawing removes the ice but not the cause. Humid air is getting into the ice compartment, or the defrost system isn't clearing frost, and the cycle repeats. We find the leak point or the failed defrost part, fix it, and then check the ice maker.
Rarely. On these models the noise is usually a fan blade catching on ice, often on the fresh-food side. Once the defrost or drain fault behind the ice is repaired, the fan runs quietly again.
