Perlick Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
A Perlick unit is built to disappear into cabinetry, which is good design until something breaks and it has to be worked on in a tight opening. We repair Perlick refrigeration independently, with no link to Perlick's own service program. If your unit is still covered by the maker's warranty, go to Perlick first. After that, we diagnose it where it's installed, explain what failed and give you a price before anything is replaced.

Which Perlick Appliance Needs Work?
From brass works to built-ins
Perlick traces back to a Milwaukee brass shop that Robert Perlick opened in 1917, and the company is still family-owned and based there. Its commercial side builds draft beer systems and underbar equipment for taverns and restaurants. The residential catalog borrows that heavy build: undercounter refrigerators and freezers, drawer units, beverage centers, wine reserves, beer dispensers, ice makers and full-height columns.
Around Tampa we find them in kitchen islands, in game-room bars and in outdoor kitchens under covered lanais or beside the pool, which is where Perlick's outdoor-rated models are meant to go.
Heat out the front, or not at all
With cabinetry tight on three sides, a Perlick has to pull air in and push heat out through the grille in the toe kick. Anything that crowds that grille, from a bath mat to a mat of dust and pet hair, makes the compressor run longer and the box drift warm. It is the first thing we look at and the cheapest thing to fix.
Past airflow, the repeat items are condenser and evaporator fans, door gaskets, hinges carrying heavy wood panels, drawer slides and, on ice makers, the water and drain path. Most of that is reachable from the front, so the unit can usually stay put.
Outdoor units in Florida heat
An outdoor Perlick on a lanai lives through summer afternoons that are hot and wet, and near the bay there is salt in the air as well. Read the owner's manual for the ambient range your model is rated for, keep the grille clear of leaves and patio grit, and wipe down stainless that catches salt spray. Summer storms bring lightning, so a unit that went dark after one gets its power supply and control board checked before anything else.
Perlick appliance lines
- Refrigerators: Indoor and outdoor undercounter refrigerators, drawers and beverage centers. Usual calls: a warm box from a choked toe-kick grille, stalled fans, split gaskets, sagging panel doors and sticky drawer slides.
- Ice Makers: Undercounter ice makers, many with a factory drain pump. Calls involve no ice, slow output, mineral scale, a failed pump, and supply or drain trouble on outdoor units.
- Wine Coolers: Single- and dual-zone wine reserves, often glass-fronted. Frequent complaints: one zone off its setting, a noisy fan, a sweating door and a seal that has gone flat.
Perlick parts and sourcing
Perlick supplies residential parts through its own network and through appliance parts distributors. Gaskets, hinges, fans and sensors are generally easy to match from the serial number. Control boards and sealed-system parts take more digging. We confirm the right part from the rating label and tell you how long it should take before you approve.

Perlick Repair FAQ
The questions we hear most often about this kind of repair. If yours isn't here, add it to your booking notes.
Didn't see your question?
Tell us the brand, model number and the symptom. A few things can be ruled out from a description; most faults need testing on site.
Not for most repairs. Fans, gaskets, hinges, sensors and controls are reached from the front. A sealed-system repair or a leak behind the cabinet may require pulling it, and you will know before we do.
The grille along the bottom front. That is where the unit breathes, and a blocked grille is a frequent reason for a warm cabinet. If it is clear, the fans, the temperature sensor and the door seal are the next things to test.
Only if the model is rated for outdoor use. Indoor models aren't built for that heat and moisture. Check the model number against Perlick's specifications or the manual before installing one outside.
Same company and similar thinking, but the residential line is its own product family with separate model numbers and parts. We order against the tag on your unit.
