Fisher & Paykel Refrigerator Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Fisher & Paykel has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your refrigerator is still under Fisher & Paykel's factory warranty, start with Fisher & Paykel. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.
How a Refrigerator Repair Visit Works
Describe the Problem
Note the temperatures if you have a thermometer, any frost or puddles, and the model number from inside the door.
Diagnosis at Home
We read coil and cabinet temperatures, check both fans and test the defrost parts before naming the fault.
Quote Before Work
We show you the failed part and give a price for the fix; the work waits for your yes.
Repair and Test
With the part fitted, we run the appliance through a cycle while you're there to confirm the fix.
Fisher & Paykel refrigerator design and construction
There are two very different Fisher & Paykel refrigerators in Tampa kitchens. ActiveSmart freestanding units, typically bottom-freezer or French-door, track door openings to time their defrost and often have a separate fan for each compartment. Integrated columns hide behind cabinet panels and are serviced mostly from the front grille and from inside. When the fresh-food side warms while the freezer stays cold, the trouble is nearly always air movement: a fan that stopped, a damper that stuck, or a coil buried in frost. Columns add one more weak spot. Their hinges carry a heavy decorative panel, and once the panel sags the gasket stops sealing, which in humid air means frost inside and water running down the face of the cabinet.
Common Fisher & Paykel refrigerator failures
- Frost-choked evaporator after defrost failure
- Compartment fan motor stopped
- Thermistor reading out of range
- Ice maker not filling or ejecting
- Panel weight pulling door off its seal
Problems that aren't peculiar to Fisher & Paykel are explained on the refrigerator repair page. Not sure we reach your street? The Tampa-area service map lists every ZIP code.

Fisher & Paykel Refrigerator Repair FAQ
A few plain answers before you book. Details about your home or the appliance can go in the form's notes field.
Didn't see your question?
Send us the make, the model tag and what the appliance is doing. Some problems can be narrowed down before anyone drives over; most need hands on the machine.
The control believes a door is open. On a panel-ready column, a sagging hinge can leave the door a fraction short of closed; on a freestanding model, a shelf or bin may be in the way. We check how the door meets the cabinet and test the door sensor before anything else.
Cold metal or trim near a gap in the seal is meeting humid kitchen air, so moisture condenses on it. Realigning the door or replacing a tired gasket usually ends it. If the seal is good, we look at the heaters some models use around the door opening.
