Fisher & Paykel Cooktop Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Fisher & Paykel has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your cooktop is still under Fisher & Paykel's factory warranty, start with Fisher & Paykel. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Fisher & Paykel cooktop design and construction
Gas, induction or radiant, each kind of Fisher & Paykel cooktop breaks in its own way. Gas units have sealed burners lit by spark, and many relight automatically when a breeze from a ceiling fan blows a flame out. Induction units carry coils and power electronics beneath the glass, cooled by a small fan that must keep running, and their touch keys ignore damp or oily fingertips. Radiant tops heat with ribbon elements, each guarded by a limiter. Symptoms sort accordingly: clicking with no flame on gas, a zone that flashes or drops out on induction, a ring that stays dark on radiant. An induction cooktop above a drawer stuffed with pans can overheat and shut down simply because it can't breathe.
Common Fisher & Paykel cooktop failures
- Spark electrode or ignition switch fault
- Induction power board failed
- Cooling fan stopped or blocked
- Radiant ribbon element open
- Touch keys not registering

Fisher & Paykel Cooktop Repair FAQ
What to expect, in brief. Anything specific to your appliance or your building is welcome in the booking notes.
Didn't see your question?
Send us the make, the model tag and what the appliance is doing. Some problems can be narrowed down before anyone drives over; most need hands on the machine.
Its electronics get hot and need the fan, plus some open air below, to stay cool. If the fan has died or the drawer underneath is jammed full, the cooktop protects itself by switching off. Fan and airflow get checked before the board.
On many models the glass is sold as a part. We price it for your model and set that against a new cooktop before recommending either. Don't keep cooking on cracked glass in the meantime.
