Admiral Cooktop Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Admiral has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your cooktop is still under Admiral's factory warranty, start with Admiral. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.
How a Cooktop Repair Visit Works
Tell Us the Symptom
The model tag (often behind the drawer or on the frame) and what it does or doesn't do when you turn it on.
In-Home Testing
We test elements or igniters, the temperature sensor and the controls, and check the supply at the outlet or gas valve.
A Price You Approve
We show you the failed part and give a price for the fix; the work waits for your yes.
Fix and Check
After the repair we test a full cycle and check for leaks, noise or codes before we leave.
Inside an Admiral cooktop
An Admiral range top is one of three things: plug-in coils, a glass-ceramic surface over radiant elements, or gas burners. Coils fail where they plug in. A loose coil sparks against its socket, the terminals scorch, and a new coil pushed into a damaged socket soon burns out too. Every electric burner has a control switch that cycles power, and those switches can weld on high or quit cycling. Radiant elements under glass break open or lose the limiter that protects the glass. On gas models all the igniters share one spark module, so a boil-over under one knob can make every burner tick. We dry, clean and test before pricing a module.
Common Admiral cooktop failures
- Coil socket scorched
- Burner switch welded on high
- Radiant element broken
- Igniters ticking nonstop
- Gas ports caked with spills

Didn't see your question?
Tell us the brand, model number and the symptom. A few things can be ruled out from a description; most faults need testing on site.
The socket terminals are likely scorched or loose. We replace the socket and usually the coil with it, because a pitted coil ruins a fresh socket.
Moisture or debris near a burner can short its switch or igniter. Give it time to dry and clean around the burner. If the ticking continues, one switch has failed and gets replaced.
