Thor Kitchen Cooktop Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Thor Kitchen has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your cooktop is still under Thor Kitchen's factory warranty, start with Thor Kitchen. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Thor Kitchen cooktop design and construction
On a Thor gas rangetop or cooktop, one spark module feeds an electrode at every burner, and each valve stem carries a small switch that tells the module when to fire. Endless clicking comes from one of two places: water sitting around an electrode after a spill, or a stem switch that has stuck closed. Summer humidity slows the drying-out part. Weak or missing flame is usually mechanical, meaning partly blocked ports or a cap that isn't sitting down flat, and the high-BTU burners show it first. Those heavy grates are another hazard; drop one and the porcelain on an electrode can crack. The induction cooktops are a different animal: they need to sense the pan, and a cooling fan keeps their electronics in range. When that fan or its vent is compromised, zones shut down on their own.
Common Thor Kitchen cooktop failures
- Igniter clicking nonstop
- Burner not lighting
- Weak flame from clogged ports
- Induction zone shutting off
- Loose knob or stiff valve

Thor Kitchen Cooktop Repair FAQ
What to expect, in brief. Anything specific to your appliance or your building is welcome in the booking notes.
Didn't see your question?
Tell us the brand, model number and the symptom. A few things can be ruled out from a description; most faults need testing on site.
If it began after a spill or a wipe-down, give the burner area time to dry out completely. Clicking that continues after that points to a stuck valve-stem switch or a failing spark module, both of which we test.
Three common reasons: the fan vents are obstructed and it is protecting itself from heat, the cookware isn't something it can detect, or an electronic component is failing. We go through all three.
