Avanti Stove Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals

Avanti has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your stove is still under Avanti's factory warranty, start with Avanti. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Lightning and surges
A nearby strike can take out a control board while the elements are fine. If the failure followed a storm, say so in your booking.
Hard-to-light burners
Boil-overs and humid air keep igniters damp and clicking. Dry the burner caps fully before booking; if it still won't light, we'll test the switch and igniter.
Self-clean trouble
A self-clean cycle can blow a thermal fuse or lock the door. If the oven died right after one, say so; it narrows the fault.
Tenants & owners
A renter can set up the visit. We report the diagnosis and the quote to whoever owns the appliance, and they sign off before the repair.
Bungalows & older houses
In a pre-war bungalow or an early ranch, a modern appliance may be wired into a much older house. We look at the outlet, supply line and vent along with the unit.
Straight answers
If an older unit isn't worth the money to fix, we say so plainly and show you which part gave out.

How a Stove Repair Visit Works

01

Tell Us the Symptom

Tell us what fails to heat or light, and send the model number; codes and odd smells are worth mentioning.

02

In-Home Testing

The technician checks heat sources, sensors and switches, and confirms the power or gas reaching the unit.

03

A Price You Approve

You hear the diagnosis and the price, and decide. If the repair isn't worth it, we'll tell you.

04

Fix and Check

With the part fitted, we run the appliance through a cycle while you're there to confirm the fix.

Inside an Avanti stove

In a studio apartment or an older Tampa cottage, the Avanti may be the only cooking appliance on the lease, and one tenant after another leans on it. The calls are practical: a burner that ticks and won't catch, an oven that dawdles, a knob that spins on its shaft, a door that won't close true. On gas models we check spark ignition, burner ports and the oven igniter; on electric models, the coils, their sockets and the infinite switches. The supply connection gets a look too, since a gas flex line or 240-volt cord yanked out at every move-out is worth inspecting.

Common Avanti stove failures

  • Knob worn round, spins loose
  • Burner ticking with no flame
  • Gas oven slow to heat
  • Coil socket burned
  • Door hanging crooked

FAQ

Avanti Stove Repair FAQ

What to expect, in brief. Anything specific to your appliance or your building is welcome in the booking notes.

Didn't see your question?

Tell us the brand, model number and the symptom. A few things can be ruled out from a description; most faults need testing on site.

Yes. Most of the time the knob's D-shaped hole has worn round and a new knob for that model fixes it. If the valve or switch stem itself snapped, that part is replaced instead. We find out which before ordering.

A short whiff while a burner lights is normal. A smell that lingers with everything off is not. Shut the knobs, leave the light switches alone, get everyone outside and call 911 or your gas company from there. Once it's cleared, we can repair the stove and leak-test whatever we disconnect.
