Whirlpool Stove Repair in Tampa
In-home service for Whirlpool stoves in Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater and the surrounding Tampa Bay communities. Older-style freestanding gas and electric units, the kind landlords favor. Oven igniters, scorched coil sockets, sensors, bake elements and hinges cover most visits.

Whirlpool Stove Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Whirlpool has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your stove is still under Whirlpool's factory warranty, start with Whirlpool. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.
How a Stove Repair Visit Works
Tell Us the Symptom
The model tag (often behind the drawer or on the frame) and what it does or doesn't do when you turn it on.
In-Home Testing
We test elements or igniters, the temperature sensor and the controls, and check the supply at the outlet or gas valve.
A Price You Approve
We explain what failed and quote the repair. Nothing is done until you agree to the price.
Fix and Check
With the part fitted, we run the appliance through a cycle while you're there to confirm the fix.
Whirlpool stove design and construction
The plain freestanding Whirlpool stove is everywhere in Tampa Bay rentals and older ranch-house kitchens. In gas versions the oven igniter wears out first, sometimes glowing for years before it gets too weak to open the valve; a few models have a separate broil burner up top with its own igniter. Electric versions with plug-in coil burners tend to burn the receptacle the coil plugs into, and a coil that only works when wiggled is the giveaway. The oven sensor, the bake element and the oven door hinges fill out the list. These stoves often sit on aging cords or gas connectors, and we check both whenever one is pulled out.
Common Whirlpool stove failures
- Oven igniter glows but valve stays shut
- Coil element receptacle burned
- Oven sensor out of range
- Bake element failed
- Oven door hinge broken

Whirlpool Stove Repair FAQ
Short answers to what people usually ask before a visit. Anything not covered can go in the notes when you book.
Didn't see your question?
Describe what's happening and include the model plate if you can. We'll say what we can from that, and the rest gets checked at your home.
The receptacle it plugs into is probably burned, and the contacts no longer grip. Replacing the coil alone won't fix it. We replace the receptacle and look at the wire behind it for heat damage.
Usually. Broken or bent hinges, or a hinge that came out of its slot, are the common causes. Replacing hinges restores the seal, which matters for even baking.
