Hotpoint Stove Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Hotpoint has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your stove is still under Hotpoint's factory warranty, start with Hotpoint. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.
How a Stove Repair Visit Works
Tell Us the Symptom
The model tag (often behind the drawer or on the frame) and what it does or doesn't do when you turn it on.
In-Home Testing
The technician checks heat sources, sensors and switches, and confirms the power or gas reaching the unit.
A Price You Approve
We explain what failed and quote the repair. Nothing is done until you agree to the price.
Fix and Check
We install the part matched to your model, then run it to make sure the problem is gone.
Inside a Hotpoint stove
The usual Hotpoint stove is a freestanding model with either four plug-in coils or four sealed gas burners. For a coil that won't heat, there's a handy home test: with the stove off and cool, plug the suspect coil into a working position of matching size. A coil that heats in its new spot means the socket or control back at the original spot is bad. A coil that stays dark is simply worn out. On gas stoves, top burners light from spark igniters and the oven from a glow-bar. Off-center burner caps and igniters drenched by a boil-over account for plenty of clicking and no-light calls, and both are easy fixes. Where a Tampa home has gas, we check the shutoff and flex line whenever the stove comes out.
Common Hotpoint stove failures
- Coil element burned out
- Burner control stuck on high
- Oven bake element failed
- Gas oven igniter weak
- Surface igniter clicking nonstop

Didn't see your question?
Tell us the brand, model number and the symptom. A few things can be ruled out from a description; most faults need testing on site.
With the stove off and cool and coils of the same diameter, it's a fair test. A coil that works elsewhere points to the socket or control at its original spot, and both are replaceable.
Usually moisture or spilled food around the igniter or its switch. Let it dry completely, and keep the cap seated straight. If the clicking continues, the switch behind that knob may need replacing.
