Viking Stove Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Viking has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your stove is still under Viking's factory warranty, start with Viking. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.
How a Stove Repair Visit Works
Describe the Problem
Which burner, element or oven function fails, any code on the display, and whether it's gas, electric or induction.
Diagnosis at Home
We test elements or igniters, the temperature sensor and the controls, and check the supply at the outlet or gas valve.
Quote Before Work
You hear the diagnosis and the price, and decide. If the repair isn't worth it, we'll tell you.
Repair and Test
With the part fitted, we run the appliance through a cycle while you're there to confirm the fix.
Viking stove design and construction
On a freestanding Viking gas range, most everyday trouble is on the cooktop: a burner that clicks, will not light, or burns with a soft, uneven flame. Caps need to sit squarely on their bases, and even a slight offset distorts the flame. When a spill soaks the spark switches behind the knobs they start to misbehave, and a cracked electrode misfires. The burner valves themselves seldom fail, though a knob that has grown stiff can mean a worn stem. Below, the oven lights with a glow-bar igniter that slowly loses strength. If nothing clicks at all, look upstream first: a tripped breaker, a GFCI outlet, or a surge when power came back after a storm.
Common Viking stove failures
- Wet spark switch clicking constantly
- Off-center cap causing an uneven flame
- Cracked electrode with no spark
- Oven glow-bar igniter getting weak
- Stiff burner valve stem

Send us the make, the model tag and what the appliance is doing. Some problems can be narrowed down before anyone drives over; most need hands on the machine.
With power. The spark module needs electricity, so the outlet, breaker and cord are checked first. If power is present, the module and switches are tested.
Yes. With the burners off and cool, wipe the caps and heads, clear blocked ports with a straight pin or small brush, let everything dry and seat the caps squarely. Keep water away from the knob area, since a soaked spark switch causes constant clicking.
