AGA Stove Repair in Tampa

In-home service for AGA stoves in Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater and the surrounding Tampa Bay communities. The AGA treated as one cooker, which is how owners live with it: a whole unit that has lost heat, a gas burner that soots or drops out, or electric elements that have weakened.

AGA Stove Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals

AGA has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your stove is still under AGA's factory warranty, start with AGA. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Hard-to-light burners
Boil-overs and humid air keep igniters damp and clicking. Dry the burner caps fully before booking; if it still won't light, we'll test the switch and igniter.
Self-clean trouble
A self-clean cycle can blow a thermal fuse or lock the door. If the oven died right after one, say so; it narrows the fault.
Lightning and surges
A nearby strike can take out a control board while the elements are fine. If the failure followed a storm, say so in your booking.
Tenants & owners
A renter can set up the visit. We report the diagnosis and the quote to whoever owns the appliance, and they sign off before the repair.
Bungalows & older houses
In a pre-war bungalow or an early ranch, a modern appliance may be wired into a much older house. We look at the outlet, supply line and vent along with the unit.
Straight answers
If an older unit isn't worth the money to fix, we say so plainly and show you which part gave out.

How a Stove Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

The model tag (often behind the drawer or on the frame) and what it does or doesn't do when you turn it on.

02

Diagnosis at Home

The technician checks heat sources, sensors and switches, and confirms the power or gas reaching the unit.

03

Quote Before Work

We show you the failed part and give a price for the fix; the work waits for your yes.

04

Repair and Test

We install the part matched to your model, then run it to make sure the problem is gone.

AGA stove design and construction

Ask an owner about their stove and with an AGA they mean the whole cooker. The complaints that bring us out: it has cooled off gradually over months, the gas flame flickers or lifts, there's soot on the hotplate lids or a smell in the kitchen, or an electric model now needs hours longer to reach cooking heat. On a gas AGA the burner, the flue and the thermostat behave as a team, so a partly blocked flue or a sooted burner shows up as weak heat and black deposits. Electric models depend on their elements and switching, and the electronics on controllable versions can be hit by a summer lightning surge. Since the cooker never really switches off, decline is gradual and easy to overlook until a roast won't cook through.

Common AGA stove failures

  • Cooker losing heat overall
  • Gas burner producing soot
  • Flue draft restricted
  • Electric element weakening
  • Thermostat not regulating

Faults that AGA shares with other makers are on our main stove repair guide. We come to homes all over the Tampa Bay area; see the areas and ZIP codes we cover.

FAQ

AGA Stove Repair FAQ

The questions we hear most often about this kind of repair. If yours isn't here, add it to your booking notes.

Didn't see your question?

Send us the make, the model tag and what the appliance is doing. Some problems can be narrowed down before anyone drives over; most need hands on the machine.

Switch the cooker off and open windows. If it smells of gas, leave the house and call 911 or your gas company from outside. Once it's declared safe, the burner and flue need a thorough inspection.

Many models have a reduced setting, and controllable versions can turn parts off entirely. The method depends on the model, so check the manual, and we can show you the controls on a visit.
