Miele Dryer Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals

Miele has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your dryer is still under Miele's factory warranty, start with Miele. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Stacked units
Stacked pairs in condo closets have short, tight vents and little room to work. Tell us the closet size and whether the unit is stacked.
Garage laundry
A dryer in a hot garage works against the air around it. Let us know where it sits and how the vent leaves the house.
Two cycles to dry
When a load needs a second run, the vent is the first suspect, then the heating circuit. Note how long the vent run is if you know.
Straight answers
If an older unit isn't worth the money to fix, we say so plainly and show you which part gave out.
Homes closed for months
Back after a season away? Run water through the lines and give the fridge a day before judging it, and tell us how long the house sat closed.
Storm season
An appliance that sat in floodwater stays unplugged until it's inspected. Generators belong outside, well away from doors and windows.

How a Dryer Repair Visit Works

01

Tell Us the Symptom

Describe the symptom and the fuel type; a photo of the model plate inside the door helps us prepare.

02

In-Home Testing

The technician checks the vent run first, then the heating parts, thermal fuses, motor and drum support.

03

A Price You Approve

You hear the diagnosis and the price, and decide. If the repair isn't worth it, we'll tell you.

04

Fix and Check

We install the part matched to your model, then run it to make sure the problem is gone.

Miele dryer design and construction

Miele's T1 dryers sold in recent years are almost all heat pump models: a small refrigeration circuit cools a heat exchanger, moisture from the clothes condenses on it, and the water is pumped to a drawer at the top or to a drain hose. No outdoor vent is needed, which is why they appear in high-rise condos and in second-floor laundry closets in newer Westchase and New Tampa homes. The trade-off is filter care. There is a lint screen in the door opening, and on many models a second sponge filter behind the plinth panel at the bottom. Once that sponge packs with lint, airflow drops, drying time climbs and the display asks you to check the airway. Condensate pumps and hoses also clog. We clean the filters and check airflow before touching sensors or the heat pump.

Common Miele dryer failures

  • Plinth filter packed with lint
  • Condensate pump not pumping
  • Airway warning on display
  • Drum belt slipping
  • Residual moisture sensor coated

Problems that aren't peculiar to Miele are explained on the dryer repair page. We come to homes all over the Tampa Bay area; see the areas and ZIP codes we cover.

FAQ

Miele Dryer Repair FAQ

What to expect, in brief. Anything specific to your appliance or your building is welcome in the booking notes.

Didn't see your question?

Send us the make, the model tag and what the appliance is doing. Some problems can be narrowed down before anyone drives over; most need hands on the machine.

Clean the door lint screen and the plinth filter at the bottom front, and check the area behind the plinth flap for lint. If the message comes back with clean filters, we inspect the heat exchanger and the fan.

No. The water it removes goes to a container you empty or to a drain hose. It does need clean filters to dry well.
