Admiral Dryer Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals

Admiral has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your dryer is still under Admiral's factory warranty, start with Admiral. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Garage laundry
A dryer in a hot garage works against the air around it. Let us know where it sits and how the vent leaves the house.
Two cycles to dry
When a load needs a second run, the vent is the first suspect, then the heating circuit. Note how long the vent run is if you know.
Stacked units
Stacked pairs in condo closets have short, tight vents and little room to work. Tell us the closet size and whether the unit is stacked.
Storm season
An appliance that sat in floodwater stays unplugged until it's inspected. Generators belong outside, well away from doors and windows.
Condos & gated communities
High-rises Downtown or on Bayshore, HOA gates in Westchase or New Tampa: put the gate code, elevator rules or guest parking spot in your notes.
Tenants & owners
A renter can set up the visit. We report the diagnosis and the quote to whoever owns the appliance, and they sign off before the repair.

How a Dryer Repair Visit Works

01

Tell Us the Symptom

Describe the symptom and the fuel type; a photo of the model plate inside the door helps us prepare.

02

In-Home Testing

The technician checks the vent run first, then the heating parts, thermal fuses, motor and drum support.

03

A Price You Approve

You hear the diagnosis and the price, and decide. If the repair isn't worth it, we'll tell you.

04

Fix and Check

We install the part matched to your model, then run it to make sure the problem is gone.

Inside an Admiral dryer

The Admiral dryer sits on Whirlpool's 29-inch frame, a design so common that diagnosis rarely takes long. Air is pulled over the heat source, through the drum and out past a thermal fuse on the blower housing. Lint in the vent makes the exhaust run hot, the fuse opens, and the drum keeps turning with no heat. Tampa vent runs often climb through the attic or out the roof, which gives lint plenty of places to settle, and a garage laundry adds summer heat on top. Electric models heat with a wire coil guarded by two thermostats; gas models use a glow igniter, a flame sensor and two valve coils that tire with age. A squeal is usually the idler pulley, and a low rumble the rear rollers.

Common Admiral dryer failures

  • Thermal fuse open from lint-choked vent
  • Element coil broken
  • Gas valve coils tired
  • Idler pulley squealing
  • Rear drum rollers flattened

FAQ

Admiral Dryer Repair FAQ

What to expect, in brief. Anything specific to your appliance or your building is welcome in the booking notes.

Didn't see your question?

Send us the make, the model tag and what the appliance is doing. Some problems can be narrowed down before anyone drives over; most need hands on the machine.

Maybe. Clean the vent and test the thermal fuse first, because a restricted vent blows the fuse and a new fuse alone just blows again. We check the fuse, element, thermostats and the full vent run.

After the burner cycles off, worn valve coils often fail to reopen the gas, so the igniter glows and nothing lights. We test the coils and the flame sensor to confirm it.
