Frigidaire Dryer Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals

Frigidaire has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your dryer is still under Frigidaire's factory warranty, start with Frigidaire. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Stacked units
Stacked pairs in condo closets have short, tight vents and little room to work. Tell us the closet size and whether the unit is stacked.
Garage laundry
A dryer in a hot garage works against the air around it. Let us know where it sits and how the vent leaves the house.
Two cycles to dry
When a load needs a second run, the vent is the first suspect, then the heating circuit. Note how long the vent run is if you know.
Straight answers
If an older unit isn't worth the money to fix, we say so plainly and show you which part gave out.
Homes closed for months
Back after a season away? Run water through the lines and give the fridge a day before judging it, and tell us how long the house sat closed.
Storm season
An appliance that sat in floodwater stays unplugged until it's inspected. Generators belong outside, well away from doors and windows.

04

Repair and Test

We install the part matched to your model, then run it to make sure the problem is gone.

Frigidaire dryer design and construction

Frigidaire dryers are uncomplicated, which keeps repairs predictable. The electric ones heat with a coil and protect themselves with a one-shot fuse that a choked vent will pop. On gas, there's also a glowing igniter, a flame sensor and a two-coil valve; if the igniter glows and fades without lighting the burner, those coils have usually weakened. Worn rollers, a stretched belt or a dry idler wheel make the thumps and squeals. On a laundry center the dryer is the upper half, and its exhaust hose gets pinched against the wall all too easily. Many Tampa dryers vent through a long run in the attic or out a roof cap, and lint packing those runs is a top reason for slow drying and blown fuses.

Common Frigidaire dryer failures

  • Thermal fuse blown by vent restriction
  • Gas valve coils weak
  • Heating element broken
  • Drum rollers worn
  • Belt snapped

FAQ

Frigidaire Dryer Repair FAQ

The questions we hear most often about this kind of repair. If yours isn't here, add it to your booking notes.

Didn't see your question?

Describe what's happening and include the model plate if you can. We'll say what we can from that, and the rest gets checked at your home.

Look through the burner window during a cycle. Glow then fade with no flame usually points to the valve coils; no glow at all points to the igniter or the flame sensor. We test with the gas supply off.

Often. The hose behind a laundry center gets easily crushed, and attic runs fill with lint. We check the whole vent run, then test the dryer's heat and airflow.
