Fisher & Paykel Dryer Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Fisher & Paykel has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your dryer is still under Fisher & Paykel's factory warranty, start with Fisher & Paykel. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.
How a Dryer Repair Visit Works
Tell Us the Symptom
The model tag from the door frame, plus where the vent runs: out a wall, up through the attic, or to the roof.
In-Home Testing
We measure airflow through the vent, test the heat circuit and safety fuses, and check belt and rollers.
A Price You Approve
We show you the failed part and give a price for the fix; the work waits for your yes.
Fix and Check
After the repair we test a full cycle and check for leaks, noise or codes before we leave.
Fisher & Paykel dryer design and construction
Next to the washers, the Fisher & Paykel dryer is an ordinary machine. A belt spins the drum on rollers, an element or a gas burner supplies heat, and thermostats plus a one-shot thermal fuse cut that heat when air stops flowing. Here, the dryer frequently lives in a hot garage, or against an inside wall with ductwork climbing through the attic and out the roof. Lint settles in those long, warm runs, exhaust temperatures creep up, and one day the fuse opens. A new fuse with the old clogged duct only buys a few weeks. Sensor-dry models read dampness through two metal strips in the drum, and the waxy coating dryer sheets leave on them can stop a cycle while clothes are still wet.
Common Fisher & Paykel dryer failures
- Thermal fuse opened by blocked vent
- Heating element burned through
- Drive belt cracked or broken
- Dryness sensor strips coated
- Gas igniter or valve coils weak
Problems that aren't peculiar to Fisher & Paykel are explained on the dryer repair page. We come to homes all over the Tampa Bay area; see the areas and ZIP codes we cover.

Fisher & Paykel Dryer Repair FAQ
A few plain answers before you book. Details about your home or the appliance can go in the form's notes field.
Didn't see your question?
Describe what's happening and include the model plate if you can. We'll say what we can from that, and the rest gets checked at your home.
Electric units usually point to the fuse, element or a thermostat; gas units to the igniter, valve coils or flame sensor. Either way we trace the vent to the outside, because poor airflow is what opens most fuses in the first place.
The moisture sensor may be misreading, or exhaust air may be trapped. Wipe the two metal strips in the drum with rubbing alcohol, then check the lint screen and the flap where the duct exits the house. If nothing changes, we test the sensor circuit and measure airflow.
