Electrolux Dryer Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals

Electrolux has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your dryer is still under Electrolux's factory warranty, start with Electrolux. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Lint and fire risk
Clean the screen every load and never vent into the attic itself. A burning smell is a reason to stop using the dryer until it's checked.
Attic and roof vents
Plenty of slab homes vent the dryer up through the attic to a roof cap. Long runs fill with lint, so airflow gets checked before the heater is blamed.
Gas or electric
Most dryers here are electric. If yours burns gas, say so, and if you ever smell gas, leave the house and call the gas utility or 911.
Homes closed for months
Back after a season away? Run water through the lines and give the fridge a day before judging it, and tell us how long the house sat closed.
Storm season
An appliance that sat in floodwater stays unplugged until it's inspected. Generators belong outside, well away from doors and windows.
Condos & gated communities
High-rises Downtown or on Bayshore, HOA gates in Westchase or New Tampa: put the gate code, elevator rules or guest parking spot in your notes.

How a Dryer Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

The model tag from the door frame, plus where the vent runs: out a wall, up through the attic, or to the roof.

02

Find the Fault

We measure airflow through the vent, test the heat circuit and safety fuses, and check belt and rollers.

03

Your Go-Ahead

We show you the failed part and give a price for the fix; the work waits for your yes.

04

Fixed and Verified

With the part fitted, we run the appliance through a cycle while you're there to confirm the fix.

Electrolux dryer design and construction

Electrolux dryers vent outdoors and come in electric and gas versions, several with steam. In all-electric Tampa homes the electric model is the norm: a heating element protected by a high-limit thermostat and a one-time thermal fuse. Gas models light with a glow igniter and open the burner through valve coils, and coils that weaken give a dryer that heats for a while and then goes cold. Whatever the fuel, airflow decides a lot. A run through the attic, a crushed foil duct or a roof cap clogged with lint trips the fuse and drags out drying. Steam versions add a small water valve and nozzle, and mineral scale can close that nozzle. We measure airflow before condemning any heating part.

Common Electrolux dryer failures

  • Gas valve coils weak
  • Thermal fuse blown from lint
  • Heating element open
  • Drum rollers squeaking
  • Moisture sensor coated

Problems that aren't peculiar to Electrolux are explained on the dryer repair page. Our Tampa Bay service areas page shows where Electrolux visits are booked.

FAQ

Electrolux Dryer Repair FAQ

A few plain answers before you book. Details about your home or the appliance can go in the form's notes field.

Didn't see your question?

Tell us the brand, model number and the symptom. A few things can be ruled out from a description; most faults need testing on site.

Tired gas valve coils are a frequent cause: the burner lights, the coils fail once they heat up, and the flame does not come back. A restricted vent tripping a limit thermostat can look similar, so we test for both.

Poor airflow, almost always. Lint in the duct, a flattened section of foil or a flap stuck shut outside slows everything down, and a moisture sensor coated with dryer-sheet residue can end cycles too soon. The vent gets checked first.
