Avanti Dryer Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals

Avanti has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your dryer is still under Avanti's factory warranty, start with Avanti. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Lint and fire risk
Clean the screen every load and never vent into the attic itself. A burning smell is a reason to stop using the dryer until it's checked.
Attic and roof vents
Plenty of slab homes vent the dryer up through the attic to a roof cap. Long runs fill with lint, so airflow gets checked before the heater is blamed.
Gas or electric
Most dryers here are electric. If yours burns gas, say so, and if you ever smell gas, leave the house and call the gas utility or 911.
Bungalows & older houses
In a pre-war bungalow or an early ranch, a modern appliance may be wired into a much older house. We look at the outlet, supply line and vent along with the unit.
Straight answers
If an older unit isn't worth the money to fix, we say so plainly and show you which part gave out.
Homes closed for months
Back after a season away? Run water through the lines and give the fridge a day before judging it, and tell us how long the house sat closed.

How a Dryer Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

The model tag from the door frame, plus where the vent runs: out a wall, up through the attic, or to the roof.

02

Diagnosis at Home

We measure airflow through the vent, test the heat circuit and safety fuses, and check belt and rollers.

03

Quote Before Work

We explain what failed and quote the repair. Nothing is done until you agree to the price.

04

Repair and Test

With the part fitted, we run the appliance through a cycle while you're there to confirm the fix.

Inside an Avanti dryer

Avanti's compact dryer stacks on its matching front-loader, usually in a closet or hall alcove. Its heater is small and its drum shallow, so airflow decides everything: a matted lint screen, foil duct crushed behind the stack, or a long run up through the attic to a roof cap can double the time a load takes. That's why we check the exhaust before any part when a customer reports damp clothes. A dryer that truly makes no heat gets its element, thermal fuse, cycling thermostat and high-limit tested one by one. Squeaks and thumps lead to the rollers, belt or idler, and on busy units the door switch eventually gives up.

Common Avanti dryer failures

  • Element coil broken
  • Thermal fuse popped by heat
  • Foil duct crushed behind stack
  • Drum belt frayed
  • Door switch worn out

FAQ

Avanti Dryer Repair FAQ

Short answers to what people usually ask before a visit. Anything not covered can go in the notes when you book.

Didn't see your question?

Send us the make, the model tag and what the appliance is doing. Some problems can be narrowed down before anyone drives over; most need hands on the machine.

Often it isn't. A small dryer can't overcome much restriction, so a packed screen, a flattened duct or an attic run twice as long as it should be stretches every load. We check exhaust flow and temperature first, then the element and thermostats if the air is cool.

Typically a cycling thermostat or high-limit is tripping early because hot air can't escape fast enough. Repeated overheating may also have killed the thermal fuse. Clearing the exhaust and replacing the failed safety part solves it; a fuse alone just fails again.
