ASKO Dryer Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals

ASKO has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your dryer is still under ASKO's factory warranty, start with ASKO. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Stacked units
Stacked pairs in condo closets have short, tight vents and little room to work. Tell us the closet size and whether the unit is stacked.
Garage laundry
A dryer in a hot garage works against the air around it. Let us know where it sits and how the vent leaves the house.
Two cycles to dry
When a load needs a second run, the vent is the first suspect, then the heating circuit. Note how long the vent run is if you know.
Storm season
An appliance that sat in floodwater stays unplugged until it's inspected. Generators belong outside, well away from doors and windows.
Condos & gated communities
High-rises Downtown or on Bayshore, HOA gates in Westchase or New Tampa: put the gate code, elevator rules or guest parking spot in your notes.
Tenants & owners
A renter can set up the visit. We report the diagnosis and the quote to whoever owns the appliance, and they sign off before the repair.

How a Dryer Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

Describe the symptom and the fuel type; a photo of the model plate inside the door helps us prepare.

02

Diagnosis at Home

The technician checks the vent run first, then the heating parts, thermal fuses, motor and drum support.

03

Quote Before Work

We explain what failed and quote the repair. Nothing is done until you agree to the price.

04

Repair and Test

We install the part matched to your model, then run it to make sure the problem is gone.

ASKO dryer design and construction

Asko builds its compact dryers three ways, and each has its own weak spot. A vented model behaves like most electric dryers, with a heating element and safety thermostats, and in a Tampa house the duct may snake through a hot attic where lint collects. Condensing and heat pump models instead run warm air across a heat exchanger that wrings out the moisture; as lint coats the screens or the exchanger, run times grow and warning lights appear. The water goes to a pull-out container or to a little pump that sends it down a drain hose, and when that pump fails the dryer halts partway through. Belts, support rollers and the sensor strips that judge dryness wear like they do on any dryer.

Common ASKO dryer failures

  • Exchanger coated with lint
  • Condensate pump quit
  • Dryness sensor misjudging
  • Belt slipping or snapped
  • Heater open on vented model

Problems that aren't peculiar to ASKO are explained on the dryer repair page. Not sure we reach your street? The Tampa-area service map lists every ZIP code.

FAQ

ASKO Dryer Repair FAQ

The questions we hear most often about this kind of repair. If yours isn't here, add it to your booking notes.

Didn't see your question?

Describe what's happening and include the model plate if you can. We'll say what we can from that, and the rest gets checked at your home.

Lint on the screens or on the heat exchanger is the usual reason. Clean them the way the manual describes and run a load. If the time is still long, we look at the fan, the sensors and the heat pump itself.

On a unit piped to a drain, a blocked hose or failed pump can cause it. On one that uses the container, the float or its sensor may be stuck. We test each to find the culprit.
