ASKO Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Asko was founded in Sweden and made its name with heavy, quiet washers and dishwashers. Gorenje of Slovenia acquired it in 2010 and shifted manufacturing to Velenje in 2013; Hisense, the Chinese appliance maker, became Gorenje's majority owner in 2018. In the US and Canada the brand sells laundry and dishwashers only. The machines are compact, sturdy and particular about how they're installed. We are not part of Asko's service network, so if the maker's warranty still applies, start with Asko.

Which ASKO Appliance Needs Work?
Built to a European pattern
Asko laundry is 24 inches wide and often stacked, with vented, condensing and heat pump dryers. The dishwashers use stainless steel inside and heat their own water. The result is a sturdy machine, but one whose parts are Asko's own rather than shared with a large American platform.
Condos, closets and upstairs laundry
A 24-inch pair fits where full-size machines can't: a hall closet in a high-rise unit on Harbour Island or in Westshore, a second-floor laundry nook in a newer New Tampa or Riverview house, a kitchen corner in a Seminole Heights bungalow. A ventless dryer avoids cutting a vent through block walls.
Location raises the stakes on leaks. A washer dripping in an upstairs closet stains the ceiling below, and in a condo tower it can reach a neighbor's unit. A drain pan with a line to a drain, and an annual look at the hoses, are worth the effort.
Installation first, parts second
A lot of Asko trouble begins with how the machine went in. A stacked pair needs Asko's own stacking kit on a floor that is truly level. A ventless dryer needs filters that get cleaned and a reliable route for its condensate. A dishwasher set at the wrong drain height or out of level can trip its own flood sensor. We look at all of that before ordering parts.
Getting Asko parts
Asko distributes parts in North America, though some still come from Europe. Pumps, gaskets and filters usually arrive without much delay, while boards and model-specific pieces take longer. Your serial label tells us exactly which version you have, and we give you the wait time up front.
ASKO appliance lines
- Washers: Compact 24-inch front-loaders, often under a matching dryer. Pumps, locks, bearings, dampers, gasket mildew and electronic faults.
- Dryers: Small-footprint dryers in vented, condensing and heat pump form. Lint-packed exchangers, condensate pumps, belts and moisture sensing.
- Dishwashers: Stainless-interior built-in dishwashers. Flood-sensor lockouts, drain and wash pumps, heaters and door counterbalance springs.
ASKO parts and sourcing
Asko keeps a North American parts channel, but a share of components still ships from Europe. Filters, pumps and seals generally arrive in a sensible timeframe. Electronics and less common pieces can stretch the wait, and the oldest models have some parts that are no longer made. We read the serial label during the visit, use Asko's own part wherever one exists, and tell you if an equivalent goes in instead.
ASKO visits are booked across Tampa and the wider Tampa Bay area; the list of areas and ZIP codes shows whether your street is covered.

Didn't see your question?
Describe what's happening and include the model plate if you can. We'll say what we can from that, and the rest gets checked at your home.
European washers like Asko's use a small amount of water, heat it internally and make up for the low volume with time in the drum. A long cycle is by design. One that never finishes points to a drain, heater or sensor fault we can trace.
No. It pulls moisture out by condensing it and either holds the water in a container or pumps it away. It does need the lint screens and the heat exchanger kept clean; skip that and drying times stretch.
Often, because the machines are well built. Part availability for your model is the deciding factor, and we check it before quoting.
