Thermador Oven Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Thermador has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your oven is still under Thermador's factory warranty, start with Thermador. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Thermador oven design and construction
Thermador wall ovens span Masterpiece and Professional single and double ovens, steam and combination steam ovens, and speed ovens. Convection uses a rear fan and element that can fail on their own, so an oven that heats but browns unevenly usually has a convection fault. Self-clean drives the cavity very hot, and a lock motor or switch that quits during or after cleaning leaves the door locked or the oven dead. Steam ovens draw from a water reservoir through a pump to a generator that scales if descaling is put off. Power surges from storms can scramble the control. We read stored faults, test each element and sensor, and check cavity temperature with our own probe.
Common Thermador oven failures
- Convection fan or element failed
- Door locked after self-clean
- Bake or broil element burned out
- Oven sensor drifting
- Steam generator scaled

Describe what's happening and include the model plate if you can. We'll say what we can from that, and the rest gets checked at your home.
Let it cool completely. Then switch it off at the breaker for about a minute and restore power. If it stays locked, the lock motor or switch has likely failed, and we replace and test it.
In convection modes, lopsided results usually trace to a convection fan or ring element that has quit. We test both along with the bake element, and confirm cavity temperature before suggesting a part.
