Viking Oven Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Viking has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your oven is still under Viking's factory warranty, start with Viking. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

With the part fitted, we run the appliance through a cycle while you're there to confirm the fix.
Viking oven design and construction
Viking gas ovens generally light with a hot-surface igniter that shares a circuit with the oven safety valve. The igniter has to pass a certain current before that valve opens, and as it ages it can glow bright orange while falling short, so the oven lights late or never. That makes it the first thing measured on a no-bake complaint. On convection models, the fan motor at the back of the cavity can start grinding or lock up. Older units with mechanical thermostats drift; electronic ones depend on a sensor and control board. Many Viking wall ovens are electric, which shifts attention to the bake, broil and convection elements and their relays. Worn hinges under a heavy door leave a gap that spills heat and bakes unevenly.
Common Viking oven failures
- Igniter glowing but not opening the valve
- Oven safety valve stuck closed
- Convection fan motor grinding
- Thermostat or sensor reading off
- Hinges worn so the door gaps

Viking Oven Repair FAQ
What to expect, in brief. Anything specific to your appliance or your building is welcome in the booking notes.
Didn't see your question?
Describe what's happening and include the model plate if you can. We'll say what we can from that, and the rest gets checked at your home.
Very often. That valve only opens once enough current flows through the igniter, and a weakening one can glow and still come up short. We measure its draw against the specification before deciding between the igniter and the valve.
That depends on the model. Some mechanical thermostats can be adjusted and some electronic controls accept an offset. A thermostat or sensor that is actually failing gets replaced rather than adjusted.
