LG Oven Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
LG has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your oven is still under LG's factory warranty, start with LG. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.
How an Oven Repair Visit Works
Describe the Problem
Which burner, element or oven function fails, any code on the display, and whether it's gas, electric or induction.
Diagnosis at Home
We test elements or igniters, the temperature sensor and the controls, and check the supply at the outlet or gas valve.
Quote Before Work
You hear the diagnosis and the price, and decide. If the repair isn't worth it, we'll tell you.
Repair and Test
With the part fitted, we run the appliance through a cycle while you're there to confirm the fix.
LG oven design and construction
LG's ProBake convection moves the heating element from the oven floor to a ring behind the rear fan, so when that element fails, convection baking suffers even if the bake element works. EasyClean uses a short, low-heat cycle with water, but many LG ovens also have a full high-heat self-clean that strains the door lock motor and the control board. InstaView models light the interior with a knock on the glass. The repairs we see most are the temperature sensor, the bake and broil elements, the convection fan and element, and the lock motor. An oven that runs consistently hot or cold is usually a drifting sensor; we read its resistance at room temperature before changing a calibration offset.
Common LG oven failures
- Rear convection element burned open
- Temperature sensor drifting
- Broil element failed
- Door lock motor jammed
- Control relay not switching

Tell us the brand, model number and the symptom. A few things can be ruled out from a description; most faults need testing on site.
ProBake models put a separate element behind the rear fan. If that element or the fan fails, convection modes suffer while regular bake still works. We test both and the relay that feeds them.
EasyClean is gentler and fine for light soil. The high-heat self-clean handles heavy buildup but stresses the door lock and electronics. Use it sparingly, and don't run it right before you need the oven for a holiday meal.
