Kenmore Oven Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Kenmore has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your oven is still under Kenmore's factory warranty, start with Kenmore. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.
How an Oven Repair Visit Works
Tell Us the Symptom
Tell us what fails to heat or light, and send the model number; codes and odd smells are worth mentioning.
In-Home Testing
We test elements or igniters, the temperature sensor and the controls, and check the supply at the outlet or gas valve.
A Price You Approve
We explain what failed and quote the repair. Nothing is done until you agree to the price.
Fix and Check
We install the part matched to your model, then run it to make sure the problem is gone.
Inside a Kenmore oven
Most Kenmore ovens are part of a freestanding or slide-in range, with some wall ovens mixed in, and Frigidaire built a large share of them. Gas ovens that stop heating usually have an igniter that has weakened enough to glow without ever opening the safety valve. Electric bake elements blister or split, and a broil element can simply go dark. Electronic models depend on a temperature sensor, and when it drifts, food comes out burned or raw in the middle. After a self-clean cycle the door lock sometimes refuses to release, and the heat of that cycle can be the last straw for an aging control board. The model prefix tells us which manufacturer's part to order.
Common Kenmore oven failures
- Gas igniter too weak
- Bake element split
- Temperature sensor drifting
- Door lock stuck after self-clean
- Broil element dead

Kenmore Oven Repair FAQ
A few plain answers before you book. Details about your home or the appliance can go in the form's notes field.
Didn't see your question?
Describe what's happening and include the model plate if you can. We'll say what we can from that, and the rest gets checked at your home.
Usually a worn igniter. As it ages, its resistance climbs and the gas valve gets less current, so it opens slowly. A meter reading confirms it before we replace it.
Let the oven cool completely. If it still will not unlock, the lock motor, switch or control may have failed, and we test each to find the one at fault.
