Thermador Microwave Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Thermador has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your microwave is still under Thermador's factory warranty, start with Thermador. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Thermador microwave design and construction
Most Thermador microwaves are built in. There are drawer models that sit under the counter, built-in units stacked with a wall oven, and speed ovens that pair microwave power with convection heat. The drawer models open on a small motor, a gear train and sensors that track the drawer's position, and that drive is the part owners complain about most: grit in the rails or a stripped gear and the drawer stops halfway. Heating faults run through the familiar list of magnetron, high-voltage diode, capacitor and the switches that confirm the door is closed. Touch panels sometimes fail after a surge. Because the high-voltage side stores a dangerous charge, none of this is a home repair. We test heating, the door switches and the drawer mechanism before replacing any control.
Common Thermador microwave failures
- Drawer drive stalling
- Magnetron not heating
- Door switch failing
- Touch panel dead after surge
- Speed oven convection not heating
Problems that aren't peculiar to Thermador are explained on the microwave repair page. Visits run from St. Petersburg and Tampa up to Wesley Chapel and Spring Hill: check the service area list for your ZIP.

Thermador Microwave Repair FAQ
Short answers to what people usually ask before a visit. Anything not covered can go in the notes when you book.
Didn't see your question?
Send us the make, the model tag and what the appliance is doing. Some problems can be narrowed down before anyone drives over; most need hands on the machine.
Food or grit in the rails, a stripped gear or a dead position sensor can each stall it. We look at the track and drive first, then the motor and control.
Usually. The magnetron, diode, capacitor or a door switch is the likely cause. We discharge the circuit and test each part before recommending a repair.
