Admiral Microwave Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Admiral has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your microwave is still under Admiral's factory warranty, start with Admiral. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.
How a Microwave Repair Visit Works
Tell Us the Symptom
The model tag (often behind the drawer or on the frame) and what it does or doesn't do when you turn it on.
In-Home Testing
We test elements or igniters, the temperature sensor and the controls, and check the supply at the outlet or gas valve.
A Price You Approve
We explain what failed and quote the repair. Nothing is done until you agree to the price.
Fix and Check
With the part fitted, we run the appliance through a cycle while you're there to confirm the fix.
Inside an Admiral microwave
Admiral microwaves sit on the counter or hang over the range, and inside they're simple. A set of switches tells the control the door is closed, and when one of them fails it can blow the main fuse, leaving the unit completely dark. If the light comes on and the plate turns but the food stays cold, the magnetron, the high-voltage diode or the capacitor has usually failed. An over-the-range model also carries a vent fan, a cooktop light and a wall plate, and taking it down takes two people. That capacitor can keep a lethal charge after the plug is pulled, which is why we discharge it before testing and don't suggest opening the case yourself.
Common Admiral microwave failures
- Door switch failed
- Main fuse open
- Magnetron dead
- High-voltage diode shorted
- Turntable motor stalled

Didn't see your question?
Send us the make, the model tag and what the appliance is doing. Some problems can be narrowed down before anyone drives over; most need hands on the machine.
A countertop unit often isn't worth it, since a new magnetron eats much of the cost of a replacement. An over-the-range model is a better candidate because removal and reinstall add to the cost of replacing it. We quote and you decide.
Most often the main fuse has blown, frequently because a door switch failed. We replace the fuse and test every door switch, or the new fuse will blow the same way.
