Thor Kitchen microwave design and construction
Thor's lineup includes microwave drawers as well as built-in microwaves, and the drawer type changes how we diagnose. Opening and closing are motorized: a small motor drives gears along a track, and sensors report where the drawer is. Cooking cannot start until the controller sees the drawer fully closed. So a drawer that stalls halfway or refuses to open has a motion or position-sensing fault, sometimes as simple as a fork wedged in the track, and the heating parts are not involved. Cold food while everything else seems normal is a separate question, answered in the high-voltage section: magnetron, diode, capacitor, transformer. The capacitor stays dangerous after unplugging, so it gets discharged before any meter touches it. Interlock switches and keypads round out the list.
