Fisher & Paykel Microwave Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Fisher & Paykel has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your microwave is still under Fisher & Paykel's factory warranty, start with Fisher & Paykel. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.
How a Microwave Repair Visit Works
Tell Us the Symptom
Which burner, element or oven function fails, any code on the display, and whether it's gas, electric or induction.
In-Home Testing
The technician checks heat sources, sensors and switches, and confirms the power or gas reaching the unit.
A Price You Approve
You hear the diagnosis and the price, and decide. If the repair isn't worth it, we'll tell you.
Fix and Check
After the repair we test a full cycle and check for leaks, noise or codes before we leave.
Fisher & Paykel microwave design and construction
Every Fisher & Paykel microwave is a built-in: a microwave set into a wall column, a speed oven that adds convection heat, or a drawer model tucked beneath a countertop or island. Inside, heating comes from a magnetron fed by a transformer, capacitor and diode, and it only runs when the door switches confirm the door is shut. The drawer type adds its own small motor, gear train and slides, with switches reporting position, and crumbs packed into those slides are a common reason a drawer stalls partway. That capacitor can keep a lethal charge after the power is off, so the cabinet should only be opened by a technician. Since the opening is cut to fit this unit, repairing it is normally cheaper than replacing it.
Common Fisher & Paykel microwave failures
- Magnetron or diode failed, no heat
- Door interlock switch fault
- Drawer stalling partway
- Touch control unresponsive
- Speed oven element or fan failed

Didn't see your question?
Tell us the brand, model number and the symptom. A few things can be ruled out from a description; most faults need testing on site.
Yes. The drawer is moved by a small motor and gears along slides, and switches report its position. Debris in the slides, a stripped gear, or a failed motor or switch can each cause it, and each can be fixed.
The fault is in the high-voltage side: magnetron, diode, capacitor or transformer, or a door switch that lets the light and fan run while blocking the heating circuit. We bleed off the capacitor safely, then test each piece.
