Insignia Microwave Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Insignia has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your microwave is still under Insignia's factory warranty, start with Insignia. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.
How a Microwave Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Tell us what fails to heat or light, and send the model number; codes and odd smells are worth mentioning.
Find the Fault
We test elements or igniters, the temperature sensor and the controls, and check the supply at the outlet or gas valve.
Your Go-Ahead
You hear the diagnosis and the price, and decide. If the repair isn't worth it, we'll tell you.
Fixed and Verified
After the repair we test a full cycle and check for leaks, noise or codes before we leave.
Inside an Insignia microwave
Nearly all Insignia microwaves are countertop units made by outside factories. Inside, they carry the same high-voltage set as every microwave: a magnetron, a transformer, a capacitor and a diode, kept off by switches that sense the door. If the unit goes completely dark, a fuse has probably blown, usually because one of those door switches failed. If it lights up, the plate spins and food stays cold, the magnetron or diode is the likely cause. Keypads stop responding and turntable motors wear out too. With a budget countertop unit, several of those fixes land near the price of buying another, and you'll hear that after a quick diagnosis. Please leave the cover on: the capacitor inside stays charged and dangerous even with the cord pulled.
Common Insignia microwave failures
- Door switch failure blowing fuse
- Magnetron burned out
- High-voltage diode shorted
- Keypad unresponsive
- Turntable motor stopped

Insignia Microwave Repair FAQ
Short answers to what people usually ask before a visit. Anything not covered can go in the notes when you book.
Didn't see your question?
Describe what's happening and include the model plate if you can. We'll say what we can from that, and the rest gets checked at your home.
Usually replace. The magnetron or diode is the common culprit, and on a low-cost countertop model those parts plus labor get close to a new unit's price. We confirm the fault so you can decide.
Check that the roller ring is seated and the coupler underneath the plate isn't cracked. If both are fine, the small turntable motor has likely failed, and it's an easy part to swap.
