Kenmore Dishwasher Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Kenmore has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your dishwasher is still under Kenmore's factory warranty, start with Kenmore. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.
How a Dishwasher Repair Visit Works
Describe the Problem
The brand, the model tag, and what happens: no fill, no drain, a leak, a smell or a code.
Diagnosis at Home
We test the pump, valves and door or lid lock, and look at the drain line and supply hoses too.
Quote Before Work
We explain what failed and quote the repair. Nothing is done until you agree to the price.
Repair and Test
With the part fitted, we run the appliance through a cycle while you're there to confirm the fix.
Inside a Kenmore dishwasher
Several manufacturers have built Kenmore and Kenmore Elite dishwashers, and the prefix on the label at the door edge or tub rim tells us whose pump, valve and control are inside. Their troubles still rhyme. Dishes come out with film and grit when the filter is clogged. Water sits in the tub when the drain pump or the check valve stops doing its job. The fill runs slow or not at all when the inlet valve weakens, and the cycle never starts when the latch stops reporting a closed door. Scale from the supply slowly narrows the inlet screen and spray-arm holes. Older machines with a manual-clean filter can hide a startling amount of debris down in the sump. Poor drying in a humid kitchen sometimes just means the rinse-aid dispenser is empty, which we check before testing the heater.
Common Kenmore dishwasher failures
- Clogged filter leaving grit
- Drain pump or check valve failing
- Inlet valve not opening
- Door latch not registering
- Scale blocking spray-arm jets

Kenmore Dishwasher Repair FAQ
Short answers to what people usually ask before a visit. Anything not covered can go in the notes when you book.
Didn't see your question?
Describe what's happening and include the model plate if you can. We'll say what we can from that, and the rest gets checked at your home.
Usually the filter. Most Kenmore models have one that is meant to be pulled out and rinsed every so often. If it is already clean, the next suspects are clogged spray arms, a weak wash motor or low water supply.
Look at the filter first. If the tub still holds water, the problem is further down the drain path: the pump, the check valve, the hose or the disposer connection. We work along that path one piece at a time.
