Hobart Dishwasher Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Hobart has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your dishwasher is still under Hobart's factory warranty, start with Hobart. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Hobart dishwasher design and construction
Undercounter or conveyor, every Hobart does the same three things: heat water in a wash tank, throw it at the ware through spinning arms with a pump, then sanitize with a final rinse that's either very hot or chemically treated. Breakdowns line up with those jobs. On the wash side, a pump shaft seal starts to drip and the motor below gets wet, or scale and scraps choke the arm nozzles until pressure drops. On the heat side, an element crusted in scale overheats and fails. On the control side, a door or rack switch that no longer closes cleanly means the cycle never starts. Conveyors add curtains and a drive that wear with each rack. Local water leaves mineral behind over time, so deliming on the schedule in the manual pays off, most of all on heat-sanitizing machines.
Common Hobart dishwasher failures
- Wash pump shaft seal dripping
- Wash arm nozzles scaled shut
- Booster element or thermostat failed
- Door or rack switch not making contact
- Rinse solenoid valve stuck

Hobart Dishwasher Repair FAQ
The questions we hear most often about this kind of repair. If yours isn't here, add it to your booking notes.

Describe what's happening and include the model plate if you can. We'll say what we can from that, and the rest gets checked at your home.
The door switch. The machine won't cycle unless it detects the door all the way down, and a bent door, worn switch or loose wire breaks that signal. If the switch is good, we move on to fill level, the tank heat interlock and the controls.
Look at the rinse and chemical side first. An empty rinse-aid jug, a blocked rinse arm or scale build-up inside is the usual story, with water pressure and temperature playing a part. We test each on site and tell you what to change.
