Thor Kitchen Dishwasher Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Thor Kitchen has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your dishwasher is still under Thor Kitchen's factory warranty, start with Thor Kitchen. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.
How a Dishwasher Repair Visit Works
Describe the Problem
Say where it stops in the cycle, any code on the display, and whether water is left standing.
Diagnosis at Home
We test the pump, valves and door or lid lock, and look at the drain line and supply hoses too.
Quote Before Work
We show you the failed part and give a price for the fix; the work waits for your yes.
Repair and Test
With the part fitted, we run the appliance through a cycle while you're there to confirm the fix.
Thor Kitchen dishwasher design and construction
A Thor dishwasher is a 24-inch stainless machine styled to match the range, and mechanically it is conventional. Two pumps do the work: one recirculates water through the spray arms, the other sends it down the drain. Food stopped by the filter below the bottom rack stays there until someone pulls and rinses it, and when nobody does, the tub holds dirty water and glasses come out gritty. That is why the filter gets cleaned before any pump is condemned. Fill valves that stop opening, latches that won't catch and door springs that let the door flop open are the other regulars, and mineral deposits slowly crust the inlet screen and arm nozzles. Since these machines are modestly priced, a dead control board on one that is several years old may not be worth the repair.
Common Thor Kitchen dishwasher failures
- Water standing in the tub from a clogged filter
- Drain pump failing
- Inlet valve not filling
- Door latch not catching
- Control panel unresponsive

Thor Kitchen Dishwasher Repair FAQ
Short answers to what people usually ask before a visit. Anything not covered can go in the notes when you book.
Didn't see your question?
Send us the make, the model tag and what the appliance is doing. Some problems can be narrowed down before anyone drives over; most need hands on the machine.
Pull and rinse the filter below the bottom rack. If water still sits in the tub afterward, look for a kinked drain hose; past that, the pump itself is suspect, and we test it with the filter clean.
Usually, if the fault is a pump, valve, latch or spring. On an older unit with a dead control board, the numbers may favor replacing it; you will know which way it leans before deciding.
