Hotpoint Dishwasher Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Hotpoint has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your dishwasher is still under Hotpoint's factory warranty, start with Hotpoint. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.
How a Dishwasher Repair Visit Works
Tell Us the Symptom
Say where it stops in the cycle, any code on the display, and whether water is left standing.
In-Home Testing
We test the pump, valves and door or lid lock, and look at the drain line and supply hoses too.
A Price You Approve
You hear the diagnosis and the price, and decide. If the repair isn't worth it, we'll tell you.
Fix and Check
We install the part matched to your model, then run it to make sure the problem is gone.
Inside a Hotpoint dishwasher
Inside a Hotpoint dishwasher you'll find a single motor and pump that circulates water and, on many models, also empties the tub, plus a fill valve, a drying element and a modest control. Rental kitchens are tough on them. Unscraped plates feed the filter until it chokes, a sheet pan blocks the lower spray arm, and the machine takes the blame. When a cycle ends with a puddle in the bottom, look first at the filter, at a drain hose crushed behind the cabinet, or at a newly installed disposal that still has its knockout plug in place. Only after those does the pump become a suspect. No water coming in usually means the inlet valve has failed or someone closed the shutoff under the sink. And when the latch wears, the control never sees the door as closed, so nothing starts.
Common Hotpoint dishwasher failures
- Filter or drain pump clogged
- Inlet valve not opening
- Door latch switch failed
- Drying element open
- Control board unresponsive

Hotpoint Dishwasher Repair FAQ
A few plain answers before you book. Details about your home or the appliance can go in the form's notes field.
Didn't see your question?
Describe what's happening and include the model plate if you can. We'll say what we can from that, and the rest gets checked at your home.
Start with the filter, then the drain hose and the air gap if there is one. If the hose runs to a disposal, confirm the knockout plug was removed at installation. If everything is clear, we test the drain pump.
Not usually. The control needs to see a latched door before it will run, so a worn latch or a failed latch switch is the likelier cause. Those, and power at the outlet or junction box, get tested ahead of the board.
