Electrolux freezer design and construction
The Electrolux freezers we see are ICON all-freezer columns and upright freezers, all frost-free. A heater, a sensor and a control keep the evaporator clear, and a fan moves cold air off it. If any part of that defrost circuit fails, frost packs the coil and the cabinet warms slowly over several days. Door seals carry a lot of weight in this climate: an upright that is not fully closed, or a gasket with a tear, lets humid air in and frost builds fast. Uprights often go out to the garage, where summer heat can exceed the room temperature range in the manual, so check that range before treating the warmth as a failure.

Possibly not. Every freezer is rated for a band of room temperatures, and a hot garage can sit above it. Look up that band in the manual and leave space around the cabinet. If conditions are within it and the freezer still runs warm, defrost and the fans get tested.
Either the defrost circuit has stopped clearing the coil, or moist air is getting past the gasket. We look at the gasket first, then test the heater, sensor and control.
