Wolf Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Wolf is the cooking brand of Sub-Zero Group, the family-owned Madison, Wisconsin company that also makes Sub-Zero refrigeration and Cove dishwashers. We are independent of Wolf's service network, so a unit still under the maker's coverage belongs with Wolf first. Past that point, Wolf equipment is built to be repaired: burners, igniters, valves, spark switches, elements, fans and sensors are all separate, replaceable parts mounted in heavy steel bodies that tend to outlast them.
How a Repair Visit Works
Tell Us the Symptom
Tell us the appliance, its maker and the symptom. A photo of the model plate saves a step.
In-Home Testing
At your place the technician checks the unit and its outlet, water supply, drain or vent to find the fault.
A Price You Approve
We show you the failed part and give a price for the fix; the work waits for your yes.
Fix and Check
With the part fitted, we run the appliance through a cycle while you're there to confirm the fix.

Which Wolf Appliance Needs Work?
Two burner rings, one valve
Each sealed gas burner on a Wolf range, rangetop or cooktop is dual-stacked. The upper ring of ports carries the high flame, and a smaller ring underneath carries the simmer. Because the tiers are fed differently, a burner that roars on high and goes out on low nearly always has blocked lower ports or a cap sitting crooked, not a bad valve.
Behind each knob is a spark switch, and every switch fires the same spark module. Liquid from a boil-over that reaches one switch can keep the whole top clicking with the knobs off. We dry and test switches before anyone orders a module.
Gas, induction and the condo question
Plenty of Tampa houses are all-electric, and many high-rises Downtown, in the Channel District and along Bayshore have no gas service at all. In those kitchens Wolf usually means an induction cooktop or range and electric wall ovens rather than the red-knob gas range.
That changes the repair. Induction faults involve power boards, cooling fans, coil assemblies and glass, and condo rules on elevator reservations and work hours can shape when a heavy unit comes out. Tell us about building access when you book.
What the ovens are made of
A Wolf electric oven, whether a wall unit or the lower half of a dual-fuel range, cooks with a concealed lower element, an upper broil element and a convection fan with its own ring element at the back, all switched by a control that reads a sensor in the cavity. Steam models add a tank, pump and generator, and speed ovens add a magnetron.
We meter each element and fan and check the cavity with our own thermometer before blaming the control, since loads fail far more often than boards do.
When we'd tell you to stop
A new Wolf has to match the opening, the gas line and the circuit already in place, so fixing a sound unit is usually the smarter money. We'd advise against repair if the burner box has rusted through, the oven liner is cracked, or a control or glass panel has been discontinued with no replacement. When that's the case, we'll say so plainly.
Wolf appliance lines
- Ovens: Single and double wall ovens, convection steam ovens and speed ovens. Hidden bake elements, convection fans, temperature sensors, door hinges and gaskets, and scale in steam systems.
- Cooktops: Gas cooktops and rangetops with dual-stacked burners, induction and radiant cooktops, and 15-inch modules. Endless clicking, weak simmer, pan-detection faults and cracked glass.
- Stoves: A Wolf range in daily use: a burner that sparks but won't catch, a low flame that blows out, a yellow lazy flame or an oven that won't hold temperature.
- Ranges: Gas, dual-fuel and induction ranges from 30 to 60 inches, many with griddle or charbroiler. Igniters, valves, spark modules, infrared broilers, oven elements, fans and hinges.
Wolf parts and sourcing
Wolf parts are distributed by Sub-Zero Group. For current models the common wear items, such as burner caps and heads, igniters, spark switches, elements and fan motors, are generally on the shelf. Control boards, induction electronics and steam parts can be slower, and some older ranges now take a revised part that doesn't look quite like the original. We look the part up by serial number during the visit, give you the expected wait before ordering, and tell you if only an equivalent is available.

Wolf Repair FAQ
The questions we hear most often about this kind of repair. If yours isn't here, add it to your booking notes.
Didn't see your question?
Tell us the brand, model number and the symptom. A few things can be ruled out from a description; most faults need testing on site.
They all run off one spark module, so turning any knob to ignite fires every igniter on the top. That's by design. If the sparking won't stop after the burner lights, or ticks with every knob off, one valve's spark switch is usually wet or worn out.
Dual fuel means gas on top and an electric oven below, and the two halves fail independently. We confirm 240 volts at the oven, then test the bake and convection elements, the convection fan, the control's relays and the cavity sensor.
Yes. The common faults are mineral scale in the steam path, a tank sensor or pump, the door gasket and the convection fan. Running the descale program whenever the oven asks prevents a lot of them. We work through the water side before the steam generator or the board.
