Sharp Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Sharp put the microwave in a drawer, and in remodeled kitchens that drawer is now the Sharp product people know best. We are an independent repair company with no Sharp affiliation. Anything still covered by Sharp's own warranty belongs with Sharp. Once that's over, a technician tests it in place, tells you which part gave out and quotes the fix for you to approve.

Which Sharp Appliance Needs Work?
Japanese brand, Taiwanese parent, Tennessee drawers
Sharp Corporation is headquartered in Japan, and Taiwan's Hon Hai Precision Industry, better known as Foxconn, has owned a controlling stake since 2016. Sharp's American subsidiary runs the US appliance business, and the microwave drawers are assembled in Memphis, Tennessee, where Sharp began producing them in 2005.
Microwaves remain the core of the line here. Over the last several years Sharp has also brought French door and multi-door refrigerators and other built-in kitchen products to North America.
Where Sharp shows up around Tampa
Remodelers like the drawer because it clears both the countertop and the space over the range, so it ends up in islands everywhere from South Tampa renovations to new construction in Riverview and FishHawk. Rental apartments and condo towers often have a Sharp mounted above the range instead. The refrigerators are still uncommon locally, though we see more of them in recently finished kitchens.
A drawer adds moving parts
On top of the usual microwave components, a drawer has a motor, gears, a track and sensors that report where the drawer is, and some models open with a hand wave in front of a motion sensor. A drawer that won't open or close may have nothing wrong on the cooking side at all. High-voltage parts stay charged after the plug is pulled, so internal testing belongs with a technician.
Sharp appliance lines
- Refrigerators: Bottom-freezer French door and multi-door designs. Typical visits: a warm upper section after a fan or defrost failure, a dead ice maker, water on the floor, or a control fault.
- Microwaves: Microwave drawers, over-the-range and countertop models. No heat, drawers that stall or won't move, door switch failures and control faults lead the calls.
Sharp parts and sourcing
Microwave and drawer parts are generally easy, since Sharp and the big appliance parts houses both carry them. Refrigerator components are another story: the line is young in this market and fewer suppliers stock it. We look up every part against the full model and serial number and give you a realistic arrival estimate before you say yes.

Didn't see your question?
Send us the make, the model tag and what the appliance is doing. Some problems can be narrowed down before anyone drives over; most need hands on the machine.
Usually. The drawer motor, gears, track, switches and the heating components are all replaceable. We find which one failed and quote it, and if the repair doesn't make sense, we say so.

Yes. A few parts take longer to come in than for the big domestic names, so we confirm what's available while we diagnose and give you the timing before you commit.
