Perlick Ice Maker Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Perlick has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your ice maker is still under Perlick's factory warranty, start with Perlick. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Perlick ice maker design and construction
Perlick's undercounter ice makers freeze cubes from circulating water, so dissolved minerals stay behind in the water instead of locking into the ice. That is how they make clear cubes, and it is also why they scale up. As deposits build, harvest slows, cubes come out small or misshapen, and eventually production stops. The drain is the other half of the story. Many Perlick ice makers carry a factory drain pump, and a pump that fails or a line that clogs leaves water in the bin or under the unit. On a lanai, add leaves and grit in the drain path and summer heat that keeps the machine working hard. We look at the water supply, the drain and the freezing surface before refrigeration, because that is where most Perlick ice calls end up.
Common Perlick ice maker failures
- Drain pump failed, water standing in the bin
- Mineral scale slowing the harvest
- Water inlet valve not opening
- Supply line kinked or filter clogged
- Bin too warm, cubes fusing together

Perlick Ice Maker Repair FAQ
A few plain answers before you book. Details about your home or the appliance can go in the form's notes field.
Didn't see your question?
Tell us the brand, model number and the symptom. A few things can be ruled out from a description; most faults need testing on site.
Output falls as the surrounding air and incoming water get warmer, so some slowdown on a hot lanai is expected. A big drop, or no ice at all, points to scale, a dirty condenser or a water supply problem, and we check those first.
Follow the cleaning interval in your model's manual, and do it sooner if output falls or the cubes look thin. Scale builds steadily, and cleaning on schedule heads off a lot of service calls.
