Bertazzoni Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals

Bertazzoni cooking follows Italian practice: each gas burner shuts its own gas off if the flame dies, and the electric ovens are multifunction European designs. We work on the brand independently, outside Bertazzoni's service network, so warranty work belongs with Bertazzoni while coverage lasts. Afterward, almost every fault we find is a single part, whether a thermocouple, igniter, element, fan or sensor, so a range in sound shape is usually a good candidate for repair.

Homes closed for months
Back after a season away? Run water through the lines and give the fridge a day before judging it, and tell us how long the house sat closed.
Storm season
An appliance that sat in floodwater stays unplugged until it's inspected. Generators belong outside, well away from doors and windows.
Condos & gated communities
High-rises Downtown or on Bayshore, HOA gates in Westchase or New Tampa: put the gate code, elevator rules or guest parking spot in your notes.
Tenants & owners
A renter can set up the visit. We report the diagnosis and the quote to whoever owns the appliance, and they sign off before the repair.
Mostly electric kitchens
Electric and induction cooking outnumber gas around Tampa, though gas ranges exist. Tell us which you have and read us the tag behind the drawer.
Lightning and surges
A nearby strike can take out a control board while the elements are fine. If the failure followed a storm, say so in your booking.

How a Repair Visit Works

01

Tell Us the Symptom

Describe what it's doing and when it started; the model number lets us check parts ahead of time.

02

In-Home Testing

At your place the technician checks the unit and its outlet, water supply, drain or vent to find the fault.

03

A Price You Approve

You hear the diagnosis and the price, and decide. If the repair isn't worth it, we'll tell you.

04

Fix and Check

We install the part matched to your model, then run it to make sure the problem is gone.

Bertazzoni

Why you hold the knob

Each Bertazzoni gas burner has a thermocouple poking into the edge of its flame. Heat makes it generate a tiny voltage, and that voltage keeps a small electromagnet in the valve holding gas on. If the flame goes out, the voltage fades and the valve closes. Holding the knob for a few seconds after lighting lets the thermocouple warm up. A burner that quits as soon as you let go is therefore almost always a thermocouple or valve-magnet issue, not a gas supply issue.

Electric Bertazzoni ovens build several modes from a short parts list: an element below, an element above, a fan at the back and frequently a round element circling that fan. A selector chooses which combination runs. If just one mode goes wrong, the part responsible is usually obvious from which mode it is.

Still a family business in Guastalla

Bertazzoni dates to 1882 in Guastalla, a town in Emilia-Romagna, and the Bertazzoni family still owns and runs it. It made wood-burning stoves first, moved into gas in the 1950s and electric later, and now sells ranges in its Professional, Master and Heritage series, from 24 to 48 inches wide, in gas, dual-fuel, electric and induction.

Wall ovens, cooktops, hoods, refrigerators and dishwashers followed so that a buyer could finish a kitchen in one look. The refrigeration and dishwashers share more with other European built-ins than with Bertazzoni's own cooking, and we approach them that way.

Gas, induction and local kitchens

A good share of Tampa Bay homes have no gas service at all, so a Bertazzoni here may be an induction range in a newer New Tampa or Westchase house as often as a gas range in a remodeled Seminole Heights bungalow. Tell us which when you book; the tests and parts have nothing in common.

Gas models must also be set up for the fuel they burn. If a range was moved from propane to natural gas, or the other way, and the orifices weren't changed, the flames will be wrong no matter what parts are new. That's a setup correction, not a failure.

Shipping times on Italian parts

For current series, thermocouples, igniters, knobs, caps, elements and fan motors are normally stocked in North America. Colored enamel panels, particular door glass and parts for retired series may need to ship from Italy and take longer. We match the part to the serial label and tell you the likely wait up front.

Bertazzoni appliance lines

  • Refrigerators: Built-in columns and freestanding French-door refrigerators sold to pair with the ranges. Sensors, fans, ice makers, door seals and defrost trouble drive most calls.
  • Dishwashers: 24-inch stainless and panel-ready models. Drain and wash pumps, fill valves, hinge springs and leaks that set off the base float are routine repairs.
  • Ovens: Single and double wall ovens and range ovens. Convection fans, ring and bake elements, sensors, mode selectors and hinges are what usually fail.
  • Cooktops: Gas tops with dual-ring power burners and flame-safety valves, plus induction. Burners that won't stay lit, endless clicking, weak simmer and induction errors are common.
  • Stoves: A Bertazzoni stove day to day: a burner that dies when you let go of the knob, clicking that won't stop, or an oven that drags on preheat.
  • Ranges: Gas, dual-fuel, electric and induction models, 24 to 48 inches, one or two ovens. Thermocouples, igniters, elements, convection fans and oven gas valves are regular work.

Bertazzoni parts and sourcing

Bertazzoni supplies North American technicians through its own parts channel. For current series, wear items like thermocouples, igniters, caps, knobs, elements and fan motors are generally on the shelf. Glass, colored enamel, trim and anything for a discontinued series can take longer, since some of it ships from Italy. We read the serial label during diagnosis, order the exact match, and tell you whenever an equivalent is the only option.

Bertazzoni visits are booked across Tampa and the wider Tampa Bay area; the list of areas and ZIP codes shows whether your street is covered.

FAQ

Bertazzoni Repair FAQ

What to expect, in brief. Anything specific to your appliance or your building is welcome in the booking notes.

Didn't see your question?

Describe what's happening and include the model plate if you can. We'll say what we can from that, and the rest gets checked at your home.

Every burner has a flame-safety device. Its thermocouple needs a few seconds in the flame before it can hold the gas valve open by itself. Keep the knob pressed as long as the manual says after you see flame. If the burner still drops out when released, the thermocouple or valve should be tested.

Yes. Color is only enamel and trim; burners, valves and oven parts are identical to stainless versions. A colored door or side panel may take longer to arrive, and you'll know that before we order.

In most cases, provided the oven cavity and burner box are in good shape, because failures are usually single parts. We'd steer you away when there's rust-through, cracked oven enamel, or a retired series missing a part that can't be replaced.
